wow Bro that fan has an Awesome Startup Sound on all 3 speeds i sure wish they still put that motor in all the box fans of today lol good video and i enjoyed it i can't wait to you get to part two lol
I had a circular one of these in my room, with adjustable direction up and down. I had it for 3 months before the motor died on it. Only ran it at night.
If you'd like to provide the funds I'd be happy to feature one on the channel.. As for the blades, you can attach weights inside the hub to balance it out..
I saw these fans at Walgreens last summer. Sears used to sell these but the older version, but they sell brace bladed "Kenmores" now.3 It does have a good startup sound, if nothing else. lol
It's a shame Sears is putting their name on such junky stuff now.. The startup sound is quite impressive, and that's about all it has going for it.. Perhaps it will work a little better if I can get the blade to be balanced..
Jordan whatever you do Bro do not get rid of it it has an awesome Startup Sound which i like but your right the freak show china people cant even get the blade set right lol ... i enjoyed the video cant wait to see the servicing video soon.
@@JordanU cool cant wait to see you fix and service it soon im getting this same one tomorrow lol can't wait i use to have the comfort zone version of it of course it was made by camair lol
I have both the lasko 3770s and this and I like the sturdier build and thicker chassis of the aerospeed but I prefer the louder sound of the lasko. Eventually I want to replace these all with the blue K-223 from Kmart.
I actually have a Lakewood with damaged blades that DONT say “patent pending” believe it or not. They actually say “US PATENT” but the box fan is of a much later model from somewhere in the late 2000s or so.
It might have the bigger capacitor, lasko has been putting bigger capacitors in there box fans lately I think aerospeed might be doing the same thing I'm not sure if it has a bigger capacitor I'm just guessing but overall nice startup sound.👍
Just purchased one of these because a review on Amazon with comparisons of 6 or 7 fans suggested the low setting was about 5-6db quieter than comparable Laskos, and over 10db quieter than other brands. Hope it lasts as the purpose of the fan is only for white noise.
Air movement is underwhelming on these, but I have one that runs 24/7 for my dogs and it’s been dependable. It was also a good garage fan for my mother before she donated it to me. Purely anecdotal but I’ve seen these last for years of everyday use at work also. They seem to be a good value anyway, and I also dig the start up sounds.
Excellent video of the Aerospeed BX100 Box Fan Initial Checkout Jordan! I really like the startup sound.
Thanks..

@@LemontTheFanMan It does have a good startup sound but otherwise I think these are junk, not worth the money. Even the Lasko 3733s are better.

Not good.
I once saw a listing on Ebay for a 1994 Holmes box fan with the blades of an Areospeed fan placed on it.
OK
What's funny?
@@fanboy11thefanfanatic How do you get 'Ha ha ha' from 'that was weird'?
You should try the lasko 2520 pedastal fan. Also any tips for balancing the blades on the shaft?

True it does have a good startup sound especially for a newer fan but the blade is really bad.. I'll see if I can fix it..

The Lasko units seem to use better motors than these. Of course a K-223 is better than both combined.
It is cool that it has a motor noise but of course the old mcmillan and westinghouse motors seemed to be the coolest
OK

They must have received the patent by then.

I have noticed the inconsistency in capacitor size on the Lasko models. I don't have enough of these to have a good sample but that is a possibility.
Im pretty sure it was a mistake with the handle. I got one around that time that had black grilles
That would have been clever, but probably annoying after a while.

These are awful, I wouldn't expect to get more than a year or two out of it before the motor locks up.

Where can I buy the replacement fuse for the BX 100 fan?
Amazon.
