We stayed here shortly after everything opened back up during the pandemic. It is now my favorite resort! Our room was a deluxe studio that faced the bar and to the left of us was the pool. Very nice!
Maybe but if you're going with a family of 3 plus 2 cousins tagging along, golly is it EXPENSIVE. It would only be affordable for a family of strictly 4 if staying less than 5 days. Disney hotels are too pricey to the point that even guests going to Disney/MGM sometimes book rooms with their biggest rival Universal and hit both parks. I saw a lot of park hopping between Disney/Universal when I was on vacation in Jan. 2021. The park hoppers were massive, we're talking groups of 30-40 teens! Yikes...
2 trips ago, we took the boat over from MK to explore this resort. Had a late lunch at Geyser Point - sitting along the water, you could be convinced you're not even in Florida! Wonderful atmosphere here. Thanks for the walk through/ memories!

Stayed here several times. It is such a beautiful, peaceful resort with a laid-back vibe. The Christmas tree during the holidays along with all the other decorations make it a must see if you visit Disney World during the season.

We really love the Wilderness Lodge, It’s so beautiful and peaceful there. We will be there from December 31-January 6. We love the creek in the lobby and all the creature details on the Totem poles. It’ll be nice to see the Christmas tree, and it’s been awhile since my husband and I were together there at Christmas. I hope you had a great stay with your family! Thanks for the nice room tour!

The Wilderness Lodge is my happiest place in the happiest place on earth. The first WDW experience I ever had was walking into the WL lobby with my wife for our honeymoon trip. I was in awe. We haven’t been privileged to stay there again, but on all of our subsequent vacations to WDW, we always took a day to visit for a meal and exploration. It’s been awhile since we’ve been to WDW, so thank you so much for taking me there to relive those memories. 👍🏻

Personal fav, always stay here - you're so close to the MK but feel miles away when enjoying the resort's grounds.
We are Boulder Ridge DVC just recently after numerous stays at WL. Such a tranquil location. Thanks for walk around… cant wait to go back!
This is a beautiful resort. Stayed there long ago when the kids were young. We actually stayed in the log “cabins” and had a great trip.

We stayed there in 2006, best vacation ever! In 2020 we stayed at Kidani village, worst vacation ever. After that trip, we probably will never get to go back. I would choose this resort over Animal Kingdom resorts any day.😊

Weird question for you: At 26:33 into the video we see several windows with red circle stickers on them. Are these meant to denote some maintenance status to the maintenance team or some such thing? I've never noticed them before this video.
I think that denotes breakable tempered glass for firefighters in case of emergency
I’m not entirely sure that they are for but most likely it’s a sign for firefighters
I never realized how BIG the property was! I do remember there used to be a Sandy beach next to the boat rentals.
Yep it is pretty big! Yea that beach area was removed awhile ago
I wonder how long before the trees in courtyard above the pool, prevent boat riders from seeing the bear face in the lobby windows? Such a beautiful resort.
I love wilderness lodge is like been on the woods but at disney I need to go there to eat the bison burger many people say is delicious 🪳

🌊Congrats, (how many yrs) ya finally got that d*rn geyser☺🌲The lobby entrance's "tah dah" moment here is no less grand than the Grand Flo/AK Lodge. The birdcage is now the fireplace and the piano is the water feature. All glorious for the senses. Hopefully deluxe hrs were fruitful at night. A picturesque walkthrough🍃🌲🌲💜
Haha yea, that geyser is supposed to happen “every hour on the hour”, but that was not the case on Monday😂 I agree, this lobby is just like those resorts, especially the Grand. Glad you enjoyed this one as always Liz, thank you so much😊

Easily one of the best resorts, but it's let down by one single flaw--for some reason the monorail wasn't extended to this beautiful resort. Aside from having only buses, a real flaw in a Deluxe, this is such an incredible, atmospheric hotel, with superb food, and a setting that is unparalleled.
buses and boats. I always take the boat from wilderness to mk. and sometimes to get on monorail. it's not that much of an inconvenience
I'd definitely say that is a downfall of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but the Wilderness at least has the boats!
@@tamara8349 Yeah, that's a good way to get to the main monorail loop areas and the hotel, and of course the Magic Kingdom.

Nice video, but I wish you would narrate.
I was at the lodge last month ive been visiting for years.... Right now the lodge is in a serious state of disrepair.... Paint peeling and missing on the exterior, the patio type area above the entrance has exterior wood that is old dried out and cracking, the roof outside was rusted and stained brown everywhere, one of the large glass doors in the walkway above the lobby entrace had a bolt loose and wasnt secure the exercise trail to fort wilderness still hasnt been restored which is inexcusable.... sad to see.
