That new Cube bike is seriously gorgeous.
THANKS for sharing! :-) And all the best on your way to Kona!
Amazing video as always! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the insights! Thanks for sharing!
You showed a bunch of positions there, but I'm intrigued if you went with the aerobars further away? Your kona position was much more compact/"scrunched" looking than the past but it looks like you settled on some more room up front (which looks MUCH more comfortable to me...) thanks for another amazing video!!!
I crossed my arms on the aerobars (yes, left hand holding right handle and right hand holding left one) and it became so much easier for breathing. That subtle move of shoulder blades made all the difference. A bit weird position though, and might be dangerous during position change.
those new arobars with single grip at the front look amazing!
I always look forward to your videos coming out,
Would cube let you go back to rim brakes??
for less weight from the disc's and fluid, all the sponsors seem to doing disc's nowadays 😊😊
Great video, looks like a fun and challenging day! What pastry was it? 👀😋I just ride a road bike right now but this has inspired me to shop for aero bars for my next race! 😊Anyone have advice for aero bars to attach to trek madone road bike, lmk!!
Very cool
Very interesting. I thought pro would spend load of time in flexibilty works to adapt certain position.
The color of that bike ❤ 🔥
@@savagepro9060 😂 didn’t even catch that
It's like an electric blue ⚡
Lucy the best 👍
What did you think of the monobar grip vs. the standard separate grips? Also didn't quite understand the science behind why rear bottles don't have an aero penalty for you but may for smaller athletes?
I Love You Lucy❤
I’m so curious about the 90 day travel issues you’ve had! I suppose this was before?
thought you have no days left in Germany due to visa? or is this footage from beginning of the year?:)
please give some context and results. What were the improvement and where do they come from ?
Hi Lucy, why aren’t you racing the upcoming PTO? Also are you welcomed back in Europe?
How do you keep the chamber in the frame clean?
It’s a removable bladder inside the frame so it can be easily cleaned ☺️
Do you observe an increase of your Vlamax when you do regular gym training?
That was really interesting. I wonder what actual gains you might achieve from the wind tunnel testing, and how these might transfer into time saving at races? It seems to me that it has to be fairly marginal, and not many races are usually won by tiny margins, but I that is just me guessing. Maybe the savings/efficiency gains are a lot bigger than I imagine?
Over the long distance it can really add up to minutes if you can save a few watts! So it could take you up a position in the race 🚴💨
@@LucyCharlesBarclay Thanks. Anything adding up to saving minutes is certainly worth it 👍
The gains that you can obtain from aerodynamic testing can be huge, and make significant changes to your velocity and the time that you take to cover a certain distance. Of course, the gains that you make depend on where you're starting from. I was semi-optimised prior to going for testing and the changes that i made saved me ~40 W. FWIW, the slower that you're travelling the greater the absolute gains in speed for a specific change in CdA. In other words if your current average speed is say 30 km/hr a specific change in CdA will result in a greater absolute time saving that the same specific change in CdA compared to if your current average speed is say 40 km/hr.
No Lola down the top for the latest aero beer belly trend 😜 ?
😆😆🐕
come back to train in France you will have an aero look TT bike.
You must improve running
Wind tunnels are OK but not real world as the tunnels is prefet invormoment what about cross winds
This is why it’s always best to take what you’ve learned and test it out on the roads to validate 🚴🏼♀️👍
