Yep, you should be taking both miralax and colace post surgery, we recommend all of our patients take both starting the morning of the procedure and then for the next 1-2 weeks depending on how long we’ve prescribed pain medication. We sometimes prescribe movantik or relistor which are for opioid induced constipation depending on how long we’re putting you on pain meds.
He meant if you pop three times a day and you haven’t popped in a week .That is 7 days in a week times 3 poops per day and that is 21 💩 so he meant it takes him a month to shit 21 but to her it’s like a week.

It causes stomach issues so he has to take them. He can’t play any contact sports because if he gets kicked in his kidneys it can be dangerous. only 1 in 500 kids have one!
i just had surgery on my knee and they had me take stool softeners while i was on the pain meds and i think it helped prevent an incident like this happening 😅 i didn’t poop for like 2 or 3 days after surgery but after that i was back to normal
My mom, sister, and I took "gentle" laxatives back in October. I took it because i haven't pooped for a week like her. I had loose poop for a day and then for two and a half more days i have extreme diarrhea. I pooped so much that it displaced my tailbine and it took until the end of December for it to go back into place.
I can still remember this with my wife. She made the mistake of taking laxatives on our vacation. The sounds coming from that hotel room probably cleared the whole floor 😂
Jess I have issues with going to the bathroom and that laxative never works for me so I buy this hot tea bags called Smooth Move and give it a few hours and you’ll be good!!
That is because In surgeries they give you medication to stop any stool from passing looks like the medication from the tonsil surgery is still in your system usually wears off on it's own.
