We had a special reason to go down to Palmanova today. Helen contacted me about meeting up with Richard and Ann, from Yorkshire, and what a lovely time we had together.
On the way down we bumped into Keith, who gave us an update on the Tropico hotel.

Enjoy your video very much today looking at the front of Port Royal and my tie et cetera et cetera and all the new restaurants. I will be there next week for two weeks enjoying the lovely hot hot sun and going up to Mercadona Aldi Lidl et cetera for all our shopping and maybe spend some time with Salvitory, and a bit of work with him in the past helping him out looking forward to a nice break in the Sun you’re well see you soon

I can walk past! The last time I tried to make a video there the manager came out to tell me off. Not very friendly at all.
when ever the uk has a mini heatwave they send a load of bbc reporters out. crazy. when u watch Spain news they dont

The building work continues, but I spoke to someone who was staying there and they hadn't noticed it at all.
Yes, we're here now and you can only hear light hammering if you really tune into it.
I can't believe they manage to work so quietly.
We went into the charity shop and Beehive on Saturday… got the Palmanova blues 😢

I’ve noticed that there are more pine trees missing as you’re walking down the road now shame that they are not replacing them with new ones
They have put some palm trees near to the heart.

Sunday evening will be San Juan, so there will be lots of people on the beach, but I don't know if there is a band on
We arrived on the 17th we both follow you. We’re in Palma Nova staying at Tent. Love your videos thanks for taking the time to do them. If we see you while we’re here we’ll say hello. I love a mooch in the charity shop and we love fantasia golf too so who knows we may see you around while we’re here, couldn’t come here without visiting the olive tree which we found a few years ago, a jewel in Palma Nova.

Nice to see the beach chairs as we like the beach but only an hour is enough for us we like to look round, wow looking out for the chef 🧑🍳 doing his cooking 🥘 ❤xx
We are not sun worshipers
Steve, do they have a benefits system in Majorca?
Not really, though there is some help, but nothing like the UK. Basically, if you pay into the system you can get something out, such as tax deductions or dole if you become unemployed. If you don't pay social security there is only a very small allowance.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca I was wondering how the locals who work in bars, restaurants, and hotels manage when the summer season ends. Doubt if they would have made enough money to get by. What if they cannot pay their rent.
@@Martin-iy1dj If they have paid social security for 6 months they qualify for "paro", which is similar to the dole in the UK. Some go off to work in other places such as ski resorts. Others work in the building industry.
