Upon return from the Nuptial flight (The only time the queen bee will leave the hive is to mate with the done bees, this is called the Nuptial flight. The Queen bee may do this flight 1-5 times) Afterwards, She will spend the reset of her life inside of the hive laying eggs. A queen bee can lay 1,000s of eggs in her lifetime, living for up to 5+ years. While the life expectancy of a drone bee is 30-90 days.
