Cory Sandhagen just put on one of the greatest displays of mixed martial arts I have ever witnessed. He took him down at will, pounded him on the ground, and picked him apart with ease. It's like he's playing the game on GOD mode. It's like he's living in the matrix. Simply in awe of the talent and skill of Cory, he is one special kid.

How quick people forget, outclassing Vera, Song, TJ. Crazy knockout’s of Edger and Moraes. The guy is one of the most exciting strikers in the UFC, so quick, elusive, and precise. He mixes in some wrestling to be more well rounded and be better suited to fight top 5 fighters and people go haywire. Not to mention he got hurt so he had to lean on it a little more. But when Khabib would wrestle, people went nuts for it. I can’t believe Cory is not getting more love. These fickle MMA fans are something else.
The "all or nothing" attitude is a big problem in mma. Many fans expect exciting fights all of the time which is not always possible.
Regarding your Khabib comment, it is not a good comparison. Khabib was a wrestler and known for his ground & pound/securing subs. Cory is not known for that style so fans were not expecting wrestling. If he would have done more on the ground (ground & pound), there would not have been many complaints.
Khabib has never been in a boring fight. He holds you down, grabs 1 arm with his weak hand. Then proceeds to beat the ever-loving shyt out of your cranium until you fold with the free hand. The fact that you even tried to use his name as an example for last nights performance was beyond stupid. Cory only landed 3 significant elbows with almost 20 minutes of grapple time. Unforgivable. Yellow cards were needed for stalling last night. Never confuse ground and pound with lay and pray

Edgar and Tj are years and years past their prime, song yadong was ranked 10 fighting ranked 4 sandhagen he should have been finished decisively within in three rounds. I like Cory but you can’t run around bragging about how vicious you are with 60% decision wins. Guy has like 4 finishes and two are complete randoms one is Frankie who was done 5 years ago and the only halfway decent finish is marlon moraes who hasn’t won since 2019. How can you tell me this guy is exciting to watch Aside from his flying knee, He has great technique and fight IQ but that’s what makes his performances even more disappointing. I am going to assume Sterling wins vs Sean. After that I think he will jump to 145. We can do Cory vs Merab for title. The really question comes if Sean wins. Depending on the fight maybe we do a rematch. If Sean wins and Sterling leaves the division I think it will be Merab vs Sean for title. If that is the case I think Cory will fight someone else. He doesn't seem like a guy that will wait, but we will see after August 19th.

He sat in half-guard for 15+ minutes and threw not even one strike every minute. It’s a win, but it’s a win of the absolute worst quality possible in MMA.

This was my first UFC event I’ve attended and the crowd absolutely disappointed me more than Cory. It wasn’t a super exciting main event but to boo him every round for having taken down and held a top 10 fighter in the world is sad to see.

It was a great fight! It was very grappling and wrestling heavy, so general public won't like it. I was very impressed with Fonts ability to keep defending the top pressure and offense of Sandhagen. Sandhagen showed that he is a very dagerous match up for anyone now, he is a true mixed martial artists and has the fight IQ to use the right tools to achieve the W.
