Side-by-Side video comparisons are such a great learning method. Really helps visualise the differences needed for improving. 🎾

Good tips although I feel student is opening up body/turning shoulders too early not staying side on long enough…also it’s hard to tell but I’m wondering if his grip could be a bit more continental as it looks slightly eastern….Now can you discuss how to get more power/penetration with the kick…(I can spin the bejesus out of my serve but it’s too mushy sits up too much)

I'm the opposite my kick serves and slices are good
    My flat serve needs work
    I'm working on it
My pro gave me a tip power comes from snapping wrist
    I practiced for 2 hours
I played in the doubles league I aced my opponents 6 X
But I also doubled fault too
Be patient folks keep practicing it.

Brilliant overview of key points - Your student opens chest and shoulders early - much more than Roger Federer.

Yup, you're correct. Can only focus on ONE thing at a time, unfortunately.

My high level coach says arm swing and contact is the only thing that controls how the ball travels. Not how you transfer bodyweight into the ball. He says for kick serve swing same as first serve but duffernet toss. Do you agree? He has high level kick serves and everything. Is he coaching correctly?

Your coach is a high level player, that doesn't make him a "high level coach". The swing path for a kick serve and flat serve are very different, this video explains: ua-cam.com/video/_XVI32n6ekg/v-deo.html

@EssentialTennis thanks. Video helped solved visualisation problems for me of the swing. He is a top level coach too. I think he was saying that to me so that I didn't over control the arm swing and I adjusted my swing without realising so his advice helped but video you linked is very helpful. Thanks. One more thing. Flat serve I toss consistently. Kick serve my toss isn't as consistent. Maybe beacuse of my tossing technique or beacsue I'm unsure of exact contact point I want?

I always thought serves and forehands were bros from different mo's. So similar with the ball dropping to create spin and how a flat hit is produced on the dominant side.
The best coaching period. "Feel" is such a powerful method/tool to produce a result. For me, it's been the most effective way to change muscle memory, or basically to create a new one. It's almost like you're trying to "feel the future" to manifest things physically quicker. It's taught in so many different principles and we need more of this in tennis...so you're ahead of many coaches with this as well. I never forget how Bruce Lee told his student "don't think....feeeel".
Your understanding of psychology in teaching is super impressive. I have always appreciated this and always a joy to see your analysis and progressions with your students.
    Cheers and good weekend.

relying too much on the arm, particularly the wrist, is a common problem
