Shroomscavate should cost (1) with the same effect, but with overload 1. That way it has some shaman stuff left in the card
how's about summon a random totem? or you snag an overload card at random too?
Bizarre that windfury has higher than a 1 mana value (to the surprise of no one).
Shroomscavate just lost its shaman flavor, it's now just a paladin card that shaman can use

@@moreregis I watched it to the end. hearing thoughts on the changes can be very informative about future deckbuilding. Also dont underestimate people unsubbing content creators for annoyingly maximizing their views/ income. Also people stay loyal to creators who try to make convenient content. At least thats how i feel.
Shroomscavate lost all its dual class flavor. It's just a Paladin themed card, now. Not that I'm sad to see the Windfury go...

@@user-qi6rl9yh5i I know there's no synergy with burninating the bottom of your Mage deck, but it's still a Firelands Portal (Mage) mixed with Warlock Fel school with downsides (Warlock). It's flavorful as well. There's no Shaman flavor in any aspect of Shroomscavate, now.

I don't really understand why they didn't just replace Windfury with Overload. They could have made it cost 1 mana and give it Overload 1. That way the flavor would've stayed.
The thing was that shroomscavate would often be held till Leeroy Jenkins could pull off lethal damage with the windfury. Pretty much the only way you could nerf it properly is taking away the windfury
They meant replacing windfury with overload to keep dual-class representation. As of now its basically just a paladin card. @@Pinhead64
Wonder if they could have made Shroomscavate a "windfurry but can't hit heros this turn" style card to retain how dangerous it can be but not allow insane out of hand lethals

A lot of decks have high lethality rn, and being able to shroomscavate in tough matches for the doubled up life steal was key to surviving things like hunter in my experience
Lethals from hand were the problem, but as it currently stands handbuff paladin will likely be quite bad, as what was elevating handbuff so high was high life steal and lethality from hand. Losing the lethality from hand would have been fine I think.

big thing about tremors nerf is that you won't get triple buffs from Observer of Myths on your tremor worms anymore

I'm glad about deputization aura. It just kept their board as such an annoying big threat it was no fun to play against. Way too aggro
Aviana should be changed to add 10 feather of aviana cards to your deck, with the feather being cast when drawn : discover a legendary it costs 1 . Otherwise it's never a playable card

@@NeedForMotivationnBroken? It would literally double the cost. It would go from drawing a random legendary that cost 1 to "spend 1 mana to discover a random legendary and then spend another 1 mana to play it" AND the first part is now counter-spellable now.
So it doubles the costs, still comes down to a random 1 out of 3, and is counter spellable/ice trapable etc. I think that's a perfectly fine tradeoff.
The Shroomscavate no longer make sense as a dual class card.
As others have states, they shouldve just made the card unable to attack heroes the turn it came down.
Now its just sooooo shitty.
Or they could have replaced Windfury with another element common with Shaman, for example, Overload.
They don't care about dual class cards making sense, they already did this with the Priest/Druid card by removing it's armor gain, making it just a Priest card
The handbuff weapon should have been nerfed.

I'm a returning player,and I got the Warrior deck as a starter deck. It feels kind bad to get your newly card to comeback and have fun nerfed. If this was their plan, I think it would be better to had offered something different for new players.

Bro for Frost Lich Cross Stitch they gotta give the Elemental Life Steal just like the Frost Lich Jaina ones have. That would make this card actually (possibly) playable and it would actually line up with the flavour as well as their own previously established mechanics.
Otherwise why did they even name it that?
(I mean obviously they named it that because they wanted a reason to say "Frost Lich Cross Stitch", and I totally respect that, great meme; but they forgot to actually make the flavour fully match the mechanics, which would have in turn actually made it a usable and still perfectly balanced card)
I had thought the move would be to keep windfury on shroomscavate and put it past Leeroy OTK mana (6-cost or higher) while giving it a stat buff as well (+4/4?). Removing windfury and down to 2 seems like it's changing the card but still being useful I guess.
The first time I saw the Leeroy windfury combo, I needed a break. 😆 I think the change makes the game healthier, even if it has now lost the Shaman flavor. I wonder if replacing it with Spell Damage + 1 would have made sense.
Paladin murdered. Couldn't have happened to a better class.
I have loved Control Hunter for so long and would have loved to have Deathstalker Rexxar in rotation to allow a slower gameplay that won't run out of value.
In my opinion Odyn should say "the first time you gain armour each turn", maybe even the first 2 times? But increasing the cost is still obviously nice and im happy with the changes.
i think it should just let you get double armor, but unable to hit the hero.
I am sad shroomscavate no longer has a shaman component to it. I get the nerf but from a dual card standpoint, its just a paladin card now. Too late now, but maybe evolve (1) higher and give it divine shield?
Why not it gives you a mushroom that has a discover a shaman card inside?

Can I say something controversial? I think only the blood plague should deal damage to the enemy hero. I think DK was very lucky to avoid a nerf here.
The dmg could be reduced for other plauges to 1 while blood retains its 2 or gets bumped to 3
I'm going to retort with even more controversy, in that I think blood plague should add 2 health not heal two, to keep in theme with the blood rune 😬
I think more cards should've been changed, specially some nerfs to hunter and more buffs to mage and druid. But I like the changes they made and I'm glad shroomscavate doesn't have windfury anymore. As most people have said, it could be 1 mana + overload 1 to keep the shaman flavor, but I'm happy still.
Feels like the Aura could be 2 mana now at least. goddamn. And windfury in paladin was a dumb idea anyway.

Definitely think the aura nerf was the most important. Also shroomscavate NERF will kill off excavate paladin I'm sure. Maybe removing the divine shield would have kept it playable instead?
lol no, it was problem cause of handbuff giving massive bodies more attacks to lifesteal from or turning leeroy into a 20 dmg burst from hand

I was really excited for this set, but there have been so many decks that are just not fun to play and not fun to play against, kinda disappointed

I hate how Blizzard never buffs fun cards or prenerfs cards. Like how so much crap in Warlock is mucho problematico but lets just wait for people to realize how stupid their curve is so we can come back this time next month and give more nerfs. And when they buff they always miss opportunities to make new kinds of fun decks rise to the top. They should have buffed Khadgar and all the new spells for Mage for an example.

Ok time to dust Odyn, it has been a fun ride with you, my friend. Since Paladin and 2 control decks get nerfed, Hunter will have more chance to shine now despite the nerf to Tremors and Zilliax since the core of the deck like Jungle Gym remains intact.
As it should be, ames should go to ten mana!
Odyn was a mistake of a card, i hate that card so much but love to see them addressing alot of things that are causing problems

I honestly still think excavate pally is going to be strong if combined with handbuff more. It def slows the deck down but its still super strong with all the lifesteal and rush really frees you to ignore the board until you need to.
No way. Paladin will be forced to go super aggro and below curve with crusader aura as a finisher to survive as a tier 2-3 deck.
The rush forces you to go board and the only way to survive in a meta where you get killed in a couple of turns, is to be faster, so they will try agro. The incoming decks are all about killing you late game or hand kill. Will hunter doing hunter things.
I don’t think they did right with deputisation, it’s okey with +2, or make it at least 2 mana. But +1 and lifestill for 3… nah, i think no one will play it anymore.
Paladin not died, it just will play it’s midrange version more, witch is still pretty okey.
Nature Shaman died. It’s just it. Because it was barely enough to make a deck with it, just barely. You should remember that if meta slows even for one more turn, another decks will find more chances to gain back life, witch is hidden damage to nature shaman.
DH will feel himself better, as well as other slow decks.
But best gain is for Hunter, it’s so powerful being super aggressive without agro-paladin now on. Thats what most youtobers don’t see now.

Good changes to Paladin. I was playing Hand buff paladin and it was stupidly powerful.

This paladin weapon needs to lose one durability
or even one attack so it doesn't hurt lol
