SD2000 for the win. I'd love to follow along and mod mine at home.
Great to hear, these older detectors are very basic and easy to do around 50% of the mods yourself.
I love the mini-series idea.
It would be nice if you do some benchmark noise comparisons before you start the upgrade. That way we can see the before and after results.
I own a couple of these older SD2200-V2 and SD2200D that I bought used. I have played with them a bit and I couldn't tame them at all.
I suspect they both need these upgrades, because as the sit all they are is noise makers. I have no idea what the controls are supposed to do.

Great idea, I have a sd2200d which definately needs Modding, I had the battery upgraded about a year ago.
The SD hold its own against the GPX detectors when modified.
I have an sd2100 that I’d gladly offer with no constraints. Would relish the opportunity!

Ive got a sd 2100v2 I might volunteer for the prject! Currently has a docs screamer on it.

Hopefully there's still a bit left in your bottle or not much productive works going to happen today. My votes for the 2100, would this make much of a difference if its ie 2100d compared to one of the other 2100 in the series, or would they all be compatible to the mods. Cheers Craig 🥃
