- Despite the rain showers and the overcast guys, I did a flea market today and did manage some scores. Everybody was willing to deal today because they didn’t want to go home with nothing because of the rain, keeping people away
Cool finds, love that Craftsman marked brace, nice going.
The small 3/8" craftsman ratchet is from the seventies has the quick release button on the back of the head.
Yes, a friend of mine pointed that out to me and I had forgotten. The seller asked me if I was a Craftsman tool collector, I told him no, I am a Craftsman tool user who would rather scour flea markets for used USA Craftsman than buy the current new China made offerings.
Great finds at this flea market. Would love to hear that cylinder “Soldier’s March”. BTW, did you come across any BaseballJoe books. My Dad had a couple of these when he was a kid and I’ve read them, they’re pretty good. We are going to be in NY next week, so I’ll give you a call.

No Baseball Joe books in this lot, I haven't gone over the content of the books yet, the classics I am familiar with but the others look like outdoor adventures. Goes with the Boy Scout handbook I suppose. I haven't sorted the cylinders either, to play the few 2 minute ones I will have to get my Edison Home A out of mothballs. That will happen eventually. The Blue's I do not have a machine to play them on.
I see the Gerstner factory from the freeway fairly often.
I pick up a Gerstner chest every now and then. Very good quality stuff, just remember they also have a cheap China made line of chests. Gerstner has sold me keys, felt, and other small parts over the years.

I've got one. My dad has picked up quite a few over the years. I've heard they have blemished chests for sale in their factory show room but I suspect they're more than I want to pay.
