Hey, Monsoon Mal! I grabbed my Rocket Amp in C and tried to follow along as best I could. Great exercise/great lesson/great teacher! Thanks so much and keep them coming! Cheers from the States, Mate!
Thanks so much for this Mal. It’s exactly what I want to learn - playing unaccompanied but with vamping together with some riffs. I need to find your videos on overblows because I’ve struggled to get them so far.
Excellent video. I've been practising the individual elements of this (the vamping, triangulation and scales) and you brought them all together. I find it hard to keep the rhythm in my head so I use a metronome just to be sure I hit the first beat coming back to the vamp. You do this when you're relaxing this is what I want to do when I'm playing. Cheers Mal great stuff.
Thanks Roger. Using a metronome is excellent - I almost always practice with one (or a drum beat) because it is hard to keep that beat in my head. Listening to blues musicians live they will often speed up or slow down parts, but it's on purpose and can add emotion, not just random variation. Have fun 😀
@@MonsoonMalThe rhythm and the first lick I got under control. So awesome! The last lick I am kinda working on. Especially the overblow. Thank you soo much for making this video by my request. You are such a friendly person and a very good teacher. 🙏🏻
