  • Ever since we first started making trips over to Big Bend National Park, I've wanted to canoe through the Rio Grandes massive canyons that serpentine along the border of Mexico and the United States. After some careful planning, I was finally able to get a small group of friends from college together for the adventure of a lifetime.
We booked our trip trough Big Bend Boating and Hiking company. They provided us with three canoes for three days, and transportation to private launch and pickup sites in the lower canyons of the Rio Grande. They also aided us in purchasing a backcountry camping permit, which can only be done inside Big Bend National Park at Panther Junction and cannot be purchased in advance. Lastly, they rented us a toilet bag and fire pan that are both required for backcountry camping. The total cost for the trip was $1476 for three people in three canoes. No guide. Back country camping.

If you have any questions about the trip or booking process, please leave them in the comments section and I'll try to get to them as soon as possible.
    Thanks for watching!
