I'll stand by this, I don't think he needs a redemption arc because he was never the villian in the first place. Never made out to be. He was always shown as the kid who thought he was doing the right thing. He was never bad...he never needed a redemption arc. He needs an arc where he's finally loved.
I don't believe Eda would put her hand on Hunter without asking. At the end of the episode, Eda made sure to stop everyone else in the Owl House from crowding him and Luz after they escaped, and seemd to be having a meltdown.
She would, that would be to prevent them from panicking. In this case hunter will need to be comforted.. and probably shown he needs to feel kindness aside from his abuse.
well tbh the only reason why Eda told everyone to not touch them i think was because they went through some shit that affected their bodies??? its like getting motion sickness on a rollercoaster ride, you need time to stabilize your body to the ground. if you're all dizzy and so many people go to hug you then wouldn't that cause u to fall over? something along those lines

The description of the upcoming episode said that the Emperor's coven is coming to Hexide, so I can see Steve being a possibility of rebelling and helping out the students. As for Boscha, she hasn't shown any growth yet and it'd be nice to see her character develop. And Matt is kinda a given as he's like a rival/aquaintence towards Gus. If it is Hunter, I wonder what made him want to go to Hexide. He has Willow's and the Emerald Entrails contacts, so heading over to a public school wouldn't be the safest option (unless he hides in the secret hideout that Edalyn made).

I mean, what was revealed to king was very similiar to what was revealed to hunter tbh XD its weird. Both got revealed that theyre not who they thought they were and got betrayed by someone they trusted, also hunter saw golden guard masks and king saw titan skulls.
I’m actually speechless. This animatic captures the essence of Hunter’s pain and how I hope he will be able to cope with it in future episodes. Everything in the soothing melody and poetic lyrics fits so shockingly well with him. And the visuals you created add so much more to this too. I'm sad they didn't pick up where they left off with him on the next episode but hopefully his character arc will be resolved and he won't possibly just be written out of the story or forgotten about

I escaped a while back, but I was so disoriented I didn't know what happened and before I knew it there were people after me. I'm now, after 2 and a half years, looking it in the face, and talking to the police. If I'm honest, it's terrifying. But the family I've found are by my side every step of the way.
Knowing what this is in reference to, my heart can’t handle the emotional pain I felt from the episode. And this amazing animatic just brought those emotions right back, but in a good way! I’m literally gonna cry! 🥺 Keep up with the amazing work!

This is probably my favorite animatic on UA-cam... ever. And I've seen a lot of them in my over a decade on this site. Part of that is the fact that it introduced me to this song that been incredibly comforting through bad times, and is based on a show that did the same. But that's not just it. It's so fitting and so emotional for this character; the art is so so so clean, expressive, and really well framed. The original dialogue at the beginning feels right at home, like it could've come from the show. And the vibes of the whole thing are so hopeful, uplifting, and just defiant. AND YOU BANGED THIS OUT IN LESS THAN A DAY?!
