For older 200 series Automowers - To show the Tools menu:
    1. Place the cursor on Settings and press YES.
    2. Press the Home, 4 and 3 buttons simultaneously, i.e. at the same time but in the stated order.

As I have a battery problem with my after market replacements on my 450x what are the chances of me taking the battery management boards off of the old genuine batteries and installing them on the after markets

    I really appreciate your videos.
I have 2 450x running in my yard almost 24/7 over the last 3 years during spring and summer so I have to do a good amount of maintenance.
Just replace the battery on my oldest mower. Any opinion on aftermarket batteries?
My local dealer is not very close, and I believe at this time I have more experience with the mowers then they do.
Can you do a video on wheel motor maintenance? After replacing a couple motors, I decide to take them apart. I have been adding lithium grease 2x a season to increase the life of the motors. I have a few failed motors that I would like to refurbish if possible. Any info is greatly appreciated
    Keep up the good work

We recommend avoiding aftermarket batteries because the batteries from Husqvarna have a battery management board in them that is made to work with all of the other boards in the mower. Most aftermarket batteries are not recognized by the other boards in the mower and if by chance they are, all it would take is a software update to start having issues because the aftermarket battery's board may not update properly.

What about aftermarket batteries that don't have a board? Just the battery replacement only and keep the old board

Stupid question, can I mod a pair of batteries and run them in parallel to double the capacity of the battery? Even if it doesn't fit inside I'd be very curious if it worked

The other response here makes me think the logic controller of the battery itself would defeat this attempt

With the new charging current supervisor feature I wouldn't recommend trying it. It looks for everything based on what the mower is set to have from the factory so even using a lower amperage transformer will cause it to make the mower not park in the the charging station. Putting 2 batteries in there even in parallel would almost certainly give an error because eventually the system's temp would rise due to the extended charging time if not for other reasons

@@RoboticMowerServices I actually ended up buying a 430xh and 450xh used a week or so ago, so I may eventually mess around and see how far I can push the 430xh.

If I put a new battery with more mAh, but the capacity doesn't change in the menu, is there a way to reset or change it?

@@GeertMeersman changed the battery but never was able to figure out how to reset it on the mower, I'll have to check again but I suspect it still shows the OEM battery specs
