Goddamm, PP's Melee is so unlike anything else I've ever seen. My time spent playing this game has been nothing but an attempt to imitate him, just some of the cleanest neutral I've ever seen.
Miss you, PP. We await the return.

Hey man love the format, that was super hype. But I think it could be even better if you showed the game count during sets. Sometimes between clips what game it is in the set was hard to follow exactly. As a result I didn't realize Armada was at match point against PP, 2-0 in sets and with PP having only one stock. That kind of thing can really add to the experience, and help the viewers connect with the journey. I also think it would be cool to show player cams after really tense or sick moments. Anyway, keep up the good work!
I was considering the score counter and will definitely do it next time. Player cams didn't appear in this because there were none lol.

The period between Genesis 1 to Genesis 2 was a crazy time in Melee history. We had Armada crossing the pond, PPMD and Hbox rising, and M2K and Mang0 sticking around. This tournament is so crucial to that solidification of the reign of the 5 Gods.... especially when it comes to PP's place there.
The second set is such a HUGE difference in play from PP. He started to become more confident in his combos and punishes, and was so aggressive, especially in that last game. He wouldn't let Armada breath. One of the greatest tournaments for the professor!
Wow, I forgot that Rainbow Cruise was a tournament legal stage back then.
That armada intro was done so perfectly it gave me shivers

The sequence starting at 2:05 is a prime example of PP's playstyle, and how it is different from other falcos. Instead of going for a "combo", he instead answers the amsa's defensive option perfectly like 5 times in a row. It's a harder way to play because it inherently gives a lot of respect to the other player. However, it's the key to why PP was able to beat the other top melee players even when he hadn't played against them in months.

Dark Light Productions i know this comments kinda old, but probably not that good, just because pp gets so much out of his excellent laser pressure, which just isn't there with fox.
Also his shines are really important for his combos, fox just doesn't have it.

Dark Light Productions Well, i think a player as precise as PP would probably be unstoppable with fox, he has the best neutral the game has ever seen, insane laser timing, amazing combos and clean edgeguards. Coupled with fox dominance in every department he'd probablyalso have been the best for some time
i think PP's fox would look something like DruggedFox. not flashy but very precise and smart move choices coupled with a more defensive style
