Interesting fact, "treating the witness as hostile" is a legal term that has nothing to do with actual hostility. It simply means the lawyer is allowed to ask leading questions. Questions that effectively contain the answer. "At 5:30 you did this, is that correct?" Jeff actually does ask a leading question following the request to treat the witness as hostile as he outlines what Annie did and then asks her if that's what happened.
Season 6 was awesome. I miss the inter-connectedness between all the episodes like in Season 3, but I think I laughed the most in Season 6. Not to mention it contains my all-time favourite episode of the show: the giant hand one.
yelloduckie05 The Ark of the Covenant was a biblical object that was believed to be a chest containing the original Ten Commandments tablets. And in this case, saying "She's the Ark of the Covenant" is a reference to the Indiana Jones movie "Raiders of the lost Ark". In that movie there is a scene where the raiders recover and open the Ark, and Indiana (who is sneaking nearby) instructs his companion not to look, so they cover their eyes. If I remember correctly, it is because anyone looking would be killed by the angels of death that are released from the Ark.
I loved this show so much. I honestly felt like it was the most underrated at the time it was on. And Danny Pudi was always so on point as Abed. The whole cast was great, but Abed was definitely my favourite character.
I loved the whole show, and all the main cast of characters, but for me Abed just had a little extra charm. I love how all his one-liners were delivered so nonchalantly. I also loved that because he lived in his own world, he was often oblivious to what was going on around him, or to the feelings of others around him, so his responses would often be inappropriate to the situation at hand, which just made things funnier.
Hopefully once childish gambino/Donald glover's career starts to go quiet they can bring him back for a movie, his last music album wasn't the best and he hasn't been a star in a main movie lately. Other than him, the rest should be on board easily, except Alison Brie maybe. Since she's been doing big movies lately
His show Atlanta (which he created and stars in) has a second season approaching and he's just breaking into bigger movie roles. He appeared in Spider-Man, and will be Lando and the voice of Simba in upcoming Star Wars and Lion King movies. Plus although you may not have liked his latest album it had a fair amount of commercial success, so it's unlikely he'll give that up any time soon. I've been holding out hope that he'll make a return for a Community movie but it just seems less and less likely, which is a shame because Troy always added the most for me when re-watching. Everybody always raves about Abed but for me Troy always brought another layer that you might not have caught the first time round. If you're ever re-watching old episodes listen and watch out for his silly comments and reactions when they all talk at the same time.
The way Jeff says: "Annie ratted out Chang" is always so great to me. Jeff's face shows the thought, the processing and finally the realisation all in one second. Jeff then has the most coldest line of the season. And we can see him turn into lawyer mode the second after that. Joel McHale might not have been the best actor in the cast. But damn that was a good scene for him. Also great writing by Dan Harmon of course. He knows that Jeff has changed, but still has a small bit of lawyer left in him. Can't stop obsessing about that small scene.
Honestly, just treat him like a computer. Get a sense of what he likes and dislikes as far as movies and TV shows, and don't contradict those opinions, and you're pretty much golden.
Jeff really cares and understands Abed, because he knows he would be exactly like him if he was on the spectrum. Both were bullied as kids, were raised by TV and had bad fathers. Jeff breaking down in season 6 in the frisbee pile is so great, so is the My Dinner with Andre homage, so is their Sixteen Candles scene, so is them getting drunk together. Jeff and Abed are some of the best pairings in the show.
@@okamiseven I think it was the ending to the chicken episode. Troy was a best friend to Abed and the battle to find balance of best friendship without inabling Abeds more self detrimental traits was great, i think Jeff and Abed had one of the more underappreciated dynamics in the show.

lol, I don't think it's about hating him. they have trouble being angry at Annie because she's a cutie. If they picture her as someone much less cute (i.e. Paul Giamatti) then their honest feelings will flow forth, unencumbered by cuteness.
Paul Giamatti has been cast as a lot of unlikable characters. Often shitty bosses and bigots. People who let their own insecurities out on other people and abuse positions of authority, and put business above people. He's in this situation used as a shorthand for unlikable character, i.e. the opposite of "Disney face", not because he is one or because that's all he can play, but because he's become a go-to actor for those kinds of roles (perhaps because he's so good at it).

As much as I feel bad for Annie, I feel like she got what she deserved for ratting out Chang and getting him fired. If only Annie didn't do this to Chang, he would not have become insane, crazy, psychotic, or evil. I know Annie wanted the study group to stay together next year instead of the study group drifting apart but she still should not have ratted out Chang. With Chang, I know he didn't have any qualifications to be a Spanish teacher but I liked him so much as a Spanish teacher than when he was a social outcast, security guard, dictator, and a psychopath. He was never the same ever since he got fired as a Spanish teacher. Also, Chang's character arc would not have gone downhill after Season 1.

Abed is priceless XD
After the train episode in season 4 of Rick and Morty, Pierce's reaction to Paul Giamatti makes sense now.
Not gonna lie I covered my eyes to when Jeff called annie the ark of the covenant.
Also, Chang's character arc would not have gone downhill after Season 1.
best show ever
