  • Dan and Nick break down the draft profile of Marvin Harrison Jr. the wide receiver out of Ohio State and as you can tell from the title of this show -- he's one of their favorite prospects they've had the opportunity to evaluate not just in this draft class but any. The clear-cut WR1 for both Dan and Nick and they break down exactly why referencing the tape first and foremost, advanced stats, raw stats, the variations in his route running and how he translates to the NFL speed and rules. Finally, they discuss the big picture and whether or not he's a player the Giants should trade up for, target at 6 and which QBs they would draft Harrison over.

I think he has to stretch it out to 30 secs. I just skip forward.

From a fellow member of the Tribe:
It's Schneier, not be confused w Schneider or "on the schneid." Hopefully, the G-Men can break the schneid by landing Malik Nabers or MHJ at #6 and TRADE UP in the 2nd Round to get Bo Nix around #35-40

Taking mhj over Daniels when we are in desperate need of a QB is a wild take tho

@@rjharrold2907 they probably won't but I'm just bored of seeing the same draft projections of qbs and Wrs
Plus Harbaughs comments about o line may force someone to trade up if they truly like him and they're sitting at 7 which makes more sense for Arizona to trade down to than most others I've seen

    • @rjharrold2907

      @@mrpresident1527 Realistic scenarios imo are:
      1. Caleb
      2. Most likely Daniels but could be Maye, I doubt McCarthy
      3. Wildcard of a pick even though it's most likely one of the qbs after the first 2 go. They could just take Marv or Nabers if that's what they want to do although I don't think that happens. Second most likely to me after qb is they decide to trade down and the prime spot for that is 6 with us if they still want a top receiver or Alt, or if they are viewing it as a full on blow up which I don't think so they may go down with Minnesota which would piss me off if that happens because Schoen lost the bidding war then.
      4. Simple for Cards. They take the best receiver on the board or trade down with us to 6 if we want to go up and they take a receiver there. They already have a ton of picks in the class so trading down farther with Minnesota doesn't make sense to me for them, biggest impact they need to get is a WR1 for Kyler.
      5. I think they want to trade back and that's gonna be with Minnesota if so, I doubt they trade back 1 with us although it's possible sure if they really want Alt in front of Tennessee but I don't see them as zeroed in on that. If they don't move back I actually think they go the best receiver on the board which is what they should do if they stay there.
      6. We can move up for qb if its available and that is the ideal option going up for Drake if somehow it can happen with him making it to 4 or NE moving down. McCarthy is almost for sure top 5 with Minnesota moving up with LA as the most likely for that, idk if our building would take him at 6 or not if he was there, and shit maybe they trade up to 4 for any of the top 4 qbs idk. Other than that it's receiver for us. Doubt a trade back but say McCarthy does make it to 5 in one of the scenarios they could move back with Minnesota if they don't like WR3 on the board as much as the 2 that went sure.

I think the hesitation with MHJ is rooted in the likelihood that There are guys in this draft class with lower floors than MHJ and higher ceilings.
Is being the lowest risk WR the same thing as being the highest ceiling (highest potential) WR?
Is MHJ about to burn the whole NFL for 14 TDs like Ja’Marr Chase?
Probably not but 1k yards and 5-7 TDs is still awesome.
But on the other hand there are a few other WRs in this class that could have that Ja’Marr Chase like rookie season but those guys have lower floors than MHJ.
You ever play a video game like Elden Ring where you have to distribute a limited amount of stat attributes?
If you make a well rounded character you run the risk of having a character that can do everything well but nothing devastating.
But if you focus on a few attributes you end up with a character that is devastating in a particular way.
MHJ is already a very refined well rounded player but is he devastating?
Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, Ja’Marr Chase…
These are devastating WRs. These guys burn 1st rnd draft pick future HOF DBs and break tackles and change the score board from 50 yards away.
MHJ is Tee Higgins or Ceedee Lamb or Chris Olave or Garrett Wilson. And that is awesome. He’s a sure thing.
But don’t want to talk about the guy like he’s Calvin Johnson.

There is a difference between accumulating talent and building a team. Top WR talent will accomplish nothing for this team if they don't fix the QB situation.

I was totally expecting "the real" Dan Schneider (just kidding) to have got in trouble for sexual things after his role in better off died. But i guess he was just a really shitty boss.

Taking MH would be special but he'd probably wanna cut his throat if DJ is @QB.
Hate to see him turn into SB #2.
