He attacked the clone troopers who hunged his adoptive father when he was 13, he was improsined for 3 years as he told Skeen, at age of 16 he was sent to Mimban as part of the Imperial Army but he served as a cook and deserted after half a year. I was saying Andor and Gunny are two Star Wars characters on the same side of the Skywalker story in the same faction that mention being in Mimban, both mention how terrible it was, both survived.
This battle is pretty much star wars version of ww1 combat and its so cool! So much of this is obviously inspired by ww1, Im currently running a starwars dnd campaignl, and the party just arrived during this battle, I just love it so much! For all the cool costumes and the setting and the more gory and dark side of star wars, its a very brutal battle and I love that
Yeah, definitely WW1! If you look closely at the Stormtroopers, they have metal sniper plates attached to the forehead of their helmets in exactly the same fashion as German soldiers did in the Great War!
I’ve always thought the exact same thing. Absolutely WWI. The gas masks. The trenches at the end. Organizing 10 man raiding parties. I think it was definitely meant to portray a WWI battle. Even all the thick mud after being thrown in with chewy
When you asked why there weren't many stormtroopers in the battle, here's why: stormtroopers weren't your average infantry soldiers, they were more like marines. A smaller group of highly skilled and trained special forces units who were meant to be able to deploy quickly anywhere and then get out. The battle of mimban was a long, drawn out battle (think WW1), and so the majority of soldiers there needed to be expendable and be there for the long haul. If any stormtroopers were there, it was likely as shock troopers to break through enemy lines.
The battle of Mimban makes me want a whole ass show/series like this. A 'Generation Kill' or 'Band of Brothers' kinda thing. Give us the gritty, boots in the thick of it.
You know what would hit hard? An Imperial war movie with a similar style to All Quiet on the Western Front. Imagine an R-Rated bloody war movie from the perspective of a Stormtrooper. Hell, the First Order would work just as well since those guys were basically kidnapped child soldiers.
@@rustybeskar4664 It could even be great. A way to draw the original themes so deeply because they'd be more tied to a recent zeitgeist. That would go so hard I have no doubt the people who did rouge one and andor would do something like that. We've gotten stories in star wars like generation kill and band of brothers before but only in novels and sometimes in games so seeing a show or movie would be so cool if its anything like the battle of mimban scene in solo.
9:05 No, this is NOT the first time they introduce Chewbacca into the story of Star Wars. His first appearance chronologically in the story was in the Clone Wars, not to mention he was also featured prominently in the battle of Kashyyyk. Also (2:38) That's not a flare, that's the mortar that eviscerated that officer.
I didn't care much for the Solo movie but the battle of Mimban was very good and I would have watched an entire 20 something episode show about the Mudskulls going through hell during it. It's a shame that never happened. Maybe get the guy who directed Andor for it? Edit: And I agree, trenchcoats look good in any media!
I've always wanted a star wars show that focused on a normal imperial soldier in war. No jedi, no mandalorians, just a show that focuses on the war part of star wars.
"is that a boot or is it a leg" I'd assume its the missing leg from the guy a few seconds before screaming "my leg!" (About when So-low leapt into the trench).
I also think that the battle was way too short and should have been expanded on a bit more Edit: I like to think that the capes were to help with shrapnel.
Yeah those regular guys that are not stormtroopers are just regular imperial infantry basically conscripts with less training than the stormtroopers. The stormtroopers are also not technically part of the army they are part of the navy like the Marines that's why they are always found on imperial ships because that was their main job to defend ships and protect high profile stations, camps, projects etc. that's also why we see them a lot because the main characters that we follow in the movies and shows are usually attacking more important targets.
Mimban was an important mining planet and was situated on a trade route that intersected the hydian way. Not overly important but still important enough.
Precedes the Galactic Civil War, surely. It's just resistance/insurrection on a single planet. The Civil War starts once individual worlds and groups form into the Alliance.
They shouldn’t have all been Stormtroopers. The point was that these soldiers are lower level Empire units. They’re more disposable. Han Solo didn’t make it into the Imperial Navy, he didn’t even make it into the Stormtroopers. He made it into the Mudtroopers. He got a really tough break into one of the roughest units of the Empire.
Its AT-DTs not AT-ST confirmed by wookiepedia. Also the standart troopers are special version of imperial army troopers called mudtrooper/swamptrooper (more armor, cape, breath mask). THESE ARE NOT ELITE STROMTROOPERS BUT CASUAL IMPERIAL ARMY. The stormtroopers are special called wet-weather gear stromtrooper again wearing capes and having extra armor on forehead. The troooper with wierd helmet u mentioned has imperial navy trooper helmet. Also they are fighting the Mimbanese Liberation Army (this couldnt even be rebels because the first major battle of galactic civil war was 10years before this and the rebellion was just in the beginnings at this time by 10 BBY), Empire attacked Mimban because it has natural resources and the natives fought against them but they lost at the end but still their army fought really well against the Empire and was very strong. Please try to gather more information and dont tell people wrong information as a creator, thank you.
For his rogue one and solo reactions he should have bought the visual dictionary books for them so every time he sees a ship or trooper he doesn't know he can look it up in the book
The guys with the slim helmets are the Imperial Army like the ATST pilots from Episode 6. They are they frontliners of the Empire compared to the Stormtroopers who are Shock Troopers and Elites. And the guy with that weird bowl helmet 7:13 was an Imperial Navy Trooper. You see a lot of them manning the Death Star in Episode 4.
What Happened at Mimban was that the Empire wanted to basically to mine it out for the minerals (somewhat like they were going to do to Lothal). The Natives on the other hand didnt like this. What would usually happen when with something like this is just orbital bombardment of the unruly people, and then a quick deployment of ground troops to clear it up, nothing one or two star destroyers couldn't handle. The problem was Mimban's atmosphere is highly ionized, which would make any aerial support unusable. This is why what tie fighters there are fly so close to the surface. This called for a much larger ground force, hence why most of the troopers there aren't the Empire's elite stormtroopers, but the more common infantry often dubbed as "Mudtroopers". Why everything is muddy is just simple because of continued warfare on the planets surface, grinding down any vegetation that was once there. The main goal of the whole invasion was not to gain any strategic placements, but just to kill as many Mimbanese as people as possible.
7:13 That helmet is an Imperial navy trooper helmet. A few troopers on Mimban can be seen wearing them, but most of the troopers are wearing slightly modified Imperial army trooper helmets.
I actually really liked how they handled Chewie. I think calling him a beast was less so trying to make Chewbacca a monster, and more so showing how the empire has no tolerance or decency for wookies and non-humanoid aliens. And the way Han doesn’t speak Wookie immediately but sees how it’s not stopping Chewie (probably because everyone speaks basic that was thrown down there) and only gets through to him by speaking his native language, is really cool! Besides, the alternative is Han just pretending to understand what Chewbacca is saying, which makes their relationship seem more like belligerent servitude rather than mutual friendship.

It's a common youtuber trick to get some things wrong intentionally. The best way to get comments is people wanting to correct you even for things that are very trivial. _"First time we see a star destroyer in atmosphere? -nuh-huh, it was in Rogue One"_ or _"see how low those TIE fighters are to the ground? We have never seen that before! -nope! the shitty sequels did that too in the first 1/2h"_ would be a great example of that, just like you did for the chicken walkers
7:16 this guy is probably an imperial navy trooper (who wear the same helmets as the ‘Death Star troopers’) hence why he’s the only one with that helmet type on the ground (which is an odd place for him to be but makes for interesting speculation) We see a couple more later hanging near the TIE pilots so they’re likely there to help coordinate the land/air portions of the battle if I had to guess 8:45 looks to be a model similar to EV-9D9
Technically, Star Wars does have therapists. I'm not sure the Empier did, though. This was the Mimban Campaign. Basically, the Empire did what Empire does and tries to invade Mimban to secure resources and establish an Imperial regime. The local army fought back and made the campaign hell for the enemy.
The helmet you Called inquisitoir helmet at around 7:18 is a imperial navy trooper helmet i think. Imperial navy troopers are diffirent from death star engineers
The weird helmet seen at 7:16 is an Imperial Navy Trooper who mainly worked on ships and as security at garrisons. You also see one at the beggining when Han is waiting in line. The Stormtroopers are actually wet weather stormtroopers who have extra armor on their helmets and more space in their shoulders, elbows, and knees so they could maneuver in a less solid environment. The reason why the Empire is using Army Troopers is because the Mimbanese were extremely dug in and the empire wanted to avoid wasting well trained Strormtroopers, so they instead sent their criminals and less dedicated troops there.
Imagine a full scale Star Wars war movie in the style of Hacksaw Ridge, 1917, or Dunkirk, from the Empire’s perspective? That would be phenomenal! Also, just a couple sidenotes: most of the walkers shown except the one being lifted by the AT-Hauler, were not at AT-STs, but rather AT-DT (All Terrain Defense Turrets). And the reason why it wasn’t mostly storm troopers was due to the fact that this was a long-term occupation so the Imperial Army was deployed, with a few Stormtroopers to assist. Stormtroopers were typically the initial force, and did not care for long-term deployment. In fact, Stormtroopers were in a complete different chain of command than the Imperial Navy and the Imperial Army. Although short, this is also one of my favorite battles in new Cannon, if not all of Star Wars :))
2:05 that ain’t a AT-ST, that is a AT-DT (All Terrain Defense Turret) it was a walker, a few feet smaller then the AT-ST scout walker, but instead of a enclosed cockpit. It had an open top mobile artillery platform for bombing trenches, vehicles, and structures. They where used against the mimbaneese liberation front during the battle of Mimban and after :)
This is one of the best scenes from the Solo Movie. I've had mixed feelings about it, but there's no denying that the invasion of Mimban is such an amazing scene.
Stormtrooper 1: I hear we got this crazy new weapon to fight the rebels. Stormtrooper 2: Cool what is it? Stormtrooper 1: Mustard Gas. Stormtrooper 2: We'll be home by Life Day.
We need either a live action or animated show focusing solely on ground troops. Like, maybe each one hour episode features a single battle from different times in galactic history? A Mimban-esque cinematography of a Clone Wars battle!
imagine if we got an apocalypse now, heart of darkness movie set in the star wars galaxy... gritty, violent, and a psychological analysis of the mind of a rogue imperial war hero-turned renegade.
6:29 , although flanderized as in the media, we tend to forget the stormtrooper corps are like the cream of the crop of imperial military branches, the media spoils us from the focus of heros sorounded by the best od the best (same reason why in the clone wars the reason they win so often is not just plot armor but its because its usually a veteran jedi and his hardened clones vs a regular CIS fleet/army), imperial army would fit roughly where the US army is, with forces like local PDFs being close to the national guard, the stormtrooper corps would be somewhere between the US marines and like T3/T2 special forces depending on the formation (id equate a scout trooper platoon with its supoort to similar to a marine MEU), with formations like the storm commandos and death troopers being the SW equlivlent to delta force, the navy seals and other T1 SF, the same issue is present in 40K in an easier to see way, as an outside viewer we are used to the idea of space marine legons and chapters but from the perspective of a guardsmen seeing even a single space marine (they are on ocasion deployed like this single trooper) is like a once in a lifetime thing given the scale of the universe, basicly if the original trilogy is the perspective something like medal of honor warfighter/COD, where solo is more like riseing storm 2/squad (perspective from elite units vs regular every day grunts/POGs)
I would love to see a series or film that follows a member of the Imperial Army being sent to battlefields like Milban and/or based like the Alfhani Dam.
I think that a good reference about the different forces in the Empire, would be like Stormtroopers are like the Marine Corps, and the other folks with the raincoats are Army.
Actually, stormtroopers are actually the Empire’s elite Naval troopers. The troopers on Mimban are Army troopers, grunts and footsoldiers who fought most of the Empire’s battles
This is an incredibly late comment but the reason there werent stormtroopers on Mimban is because this was early enough on in the Empire's history where the majority of Imperial forces were in the Imperial Army and the stormtroopers were what they actually were supposed to be: shock troopers. This was a war that was obviously inspired by world war 1 with high casualties etc and Imperial Army troopers (the guys with the gas masks and stuff) were either conscripts or cheaper to produce soldiers with less agressive training etc. Mimban was also basically a punishment area where imperial soldiers who washed out or were headstrong ended up.

Or even enforced laws themselves if they were a matter of military security or the local law enforcement was inadequate.
Meanwhile, the Republic had local planetary armies led by a singular planet within the Republic (such as Naboo's and Pantora's military,) judiciary forces that were led by the senate (which include Senate Commandos,) and local militias to assist the Clone Armies in battle; or even lead the battle themselves if winning wasn't time sensitive.
Imperial Army and Navy troopers worked the same way as the Republic's secondary armies and forces. Just on a larger scale. Basically, both Clones and Stormtroopers were very multirole units. While they enforced laws occasionally and often guarded military areas and vehicles, they also spearheaded or assisted attacks/defenses by other units. nb
@@stephenjohnston7630 He join the tie fighter navy but when he couldn’t make the cut (weather the deleted scene is canon or not) he was forced or drafted into the frontline army ranks.
Andor mentions he was deployed to Mimban when he was 17, when he really came in as a Cook at the age 16, and deserted, ran for his life during the battle. Gunny from Star Wars Squadrons says she lost her whole team that war, her X Wing was shot down and she lost her arm, She also said that day she learned how to shoot a blaster. We hear so much about this battle but its interesting how little we really know
He attacked the clone troopers who hunged his adoptive father when he was 13, he was improsined for 3 years as he told Skeen, at age of 16 he was sent to Mimban as part of the Imperial Army but he served as a cook and deserted after half a year. Very interesting, what u can get get just from the dialogue but it didnt need to be shown.
Marines aren’t SF
Huh, I always got the impression, at least from the movies, that stormtroopers were the equivalent of cops or the national guard, not a military.
@@boombalatty2161No shit, but marines in regard of training are way better than regular army infantrymen.
@@ChiTownMyTown no shit, but they still aren’t SF. That’s all I’m saying man
@@boombalatty2161yeah that’s why there’s specialized stormtrooper units like the ones in the inquisitors or death troopers. They were the SF/SO
The battle of Mimban makes me want a whole ass show/series like this.
Playing off how militarism and fascism dehumanizes and corrupts, how little but circumstance separated the dead rebel kid from him, the envy he might look to someone like Finn with since he got out of the machine.
That would be a dream come true but unfortunately no star wars writer is intelligent enough to come up with something so nuanced
YESSS!!!!!
(Which you covered on your channel before and even MENTIONED Chewie.) I don't know why you're going around thinking this was his first story appearance in Star Wars.
Stormtroopers are Imperial Navy.
"Mud" Troopers are Imperial Army.
The mud Troopers wore caps to help keep the mud off of them.
I've always wanted a star wars show that focused on a normal imperial soldier in war. No jedi, no mandalorians, just a show that focuses on the war part of star wars.
That's basically Andor (though less band of brothers, like we see here and more spy thriller)
7:13
Its a imperial navy trooper
"is that a boot or is it a leg"
I'd assume its the missing leg from the guy a few seconds before screaming "my leg!" (About when So-low leapt into the trench).
I also think that the battle was way too short and should have been expanded on a bit more
Edit: I like to think that the capes were to help with shrapnel.
I feel like the battle of Mimban was very important during the Galactic Civil War to control the entire galaxy
Also the force the imps were fighting were the Mimbanese
Mimban was an important mining planet and was situated on a trade route that intersected the hydian way. Not overly important but still important enough.
Precedes the Galactic Civil War, surely. It's just resistance/insurrection on a single planet. The Civil War starts once individual worlds and groups form into the Alliance.
It's important enough where there was clones and speratists there in the clone wars in an off screen battle
Fun fact, this planet was mentioned in Star Wars Clone Wars episode 5 Rookies, by the radio droid that hevy or someone was watching
Yeah and in the EU Luke and Leia go but I think it’s not a swamp planet tho could be wrong
I think Han speaking wookie in this instance had more to do so with the fact he was discussing his escape plan while surrounded by Imperials...
We need full Star Wars movie like this. You know dark saving private Ryan like war movie in star wars
The way the tie fighters are strafing reminds me of Battlefront 2015. I got killed by those all the time.
For someone who loved this scene so much, I want to yell every time he says atst, this are All terrain defense turrets lol they are field guns from world War 1 on legs
Solo a Star Wars story is so underrated I loved it
There was a deleted longer version of a the battle scene which gives more context to what's happening. I wish they kept it in it really shows how brutal this campaign was
Great content as usual! I think the arrest of Ashoka in The Clone Wars season 5 could be a interesting theme for the next battle in 0.25 speed video.
We need to take it seriously for Mimban in The Bad Batch, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Andor seasons 2-3
Fun Facts and mistake corrections:
0:18 they aren't regular Stormtroopers, they are Wet-Weathered Gear Stormtroopers specifically trained for Swamp enviroments. They have like a gray camo pattern thats why at 11:10 you thought its not just muddy white because it isn't.
0:24 *AT-DT not AT-ST
1:20 fun fact: these are army air corps tie fighters and are not part of the navy
1:32 to protect from water and mud
3:20 the guy with the minigun also wears a navy trooper helmet but I'll get to that later
4:00 its the helmet and glasses of an imperial army troopers combined with a gas mask for the enviroment.
4:18 its a mimbanese not a ghillie and its the mimbanese and not the rebels
5:00 its probably a leg because few seconds before that someone screams "my leg"
6:17 fun fact: the guy in a black uniform is a stormtrooper officer
6:20 like already said they are wet weathered gear stormtroopers (or just mimban stormtroopers) and they were just there for support because stormtroopers are elite units and not as common as imperial army troopers. it definitely makes sense that we barely see any stormtroopers. It would even make sense if there wasn't a single stormtrooper anywhere
7:05 definitely not. Solo did a great job with the empire (except for the train scene) and the trooper choice was totally realistic
7:10 its a helmet of an imperial navy trooper. I actually don't know why they are on this planet, maybe they were deployed from the isds
7:30 death star trooper*. DS Troopers were Naval Troopers that acted as Security in the navy on the Death Star under the command of Battlestation Command. They could be used for the Control computers and terminals but they are Soldiers.
7:47 not plot armor just medicine. Sabine not dying makes total sense. The place where she got stabbed is not crucial for survival and since she got instant medical assistance (maybe even force healing) makes it very realistic. I would rather complain about Reva and how tf she survived without any help.
8:45 Not a K2 but I don't know what it is though
11:20 ofc there is an entire battle. Mimban never sleeps. Aftermath was an imperial victory
11:40 yes sadly it is short but there is an extended version with deleted scenes. I wish they would have brought those in...
So while they got it right by having the stormtrooper officers wear black tunics, I always thought it was strange that they don’t wear body armor. It’s the same with the stormtrooper officers on the Tantive IV in ANH. I always imagined that stormtrooper officers in battle dress are the ones with orange pauldrons.
@@emilianomartorell3587I’m pretty sure you’re correct about the officers using orange pauldrons.
@@emilianomartorell3587 Well they aren't in combat in the scenes we have seen. These were all army officers. And on the tantive the privates secured the ship before the officers came on board so there wasn't any need for armor as well.
@@ic0nic707 Not neccisarily. You need to make a difference between commissioned and none commissioned Officers. Most of the times you will see commissioned Officers with a uniform and not on the frontlines and the ones with orange pauldrons are none commissioned officers so like sergeants.
Finally somebody said at dp
Based on the environment i imagine the capes are simultaneously there to protect against rain and to camouflage them.
I also really like the way the Stormtroopers are represented in this scene, i think one of their lines includes them talking about flanking through enemy lines from a certain point so it really sold the idea of them being well... Stormtroopers.
the reason why there aren't more stormtroopers is that they are elite units this is just infantry and there are a lot of robots at-pt
I would LOVE to see more battles like this one in the future.
There was a star destroyer in atmosphere in Rogue One, before Solo was released. This ain't the first time.
Micheal Jae is the definition of capitalizing off of that which he doesn’t understand
Yeah he called the at-dp a modified at st
Wish we could’ve seen the mudjumpers of the 224th during the clone wars here.
the Battle OF Mimban is a star Wars version of a ww1 battle in West Flanders Belgium.👌🏻
We need more of this kind of war in Star Wars
solo is a real underrated movie. i enjoyed watching it a lot
It was completely unnecessary, utterly misrepresented Solo's character, with Lando Calirissian's implied sexual relationship being flat out deplorable. There is a specific reason why people forget this movie.
This is pretty much what a Warhammer 40k Guardsman movie would look like
Yeah pretty much looks like it could be a world in 40k with guardsmen that specialize in fighting on swamp and jungle worlds but their home world is a swamp world where they fight using trench warfare against a somewhat evolved xeno civilization
Bro calling them AT-ST's the entire time brings me unnecessary pain
It's a common youtuber trick to get some things wrong intentionally. The best way to get comments is people wanting to correct you even for things that are very trivial.
_"First time we see a star destroyer in atmosphere? -nuh-huh, it was in Rogue One"_ or _"see how low those TIE fighters are to the ground? We have never seen that before! -nope! the shitty sequels did that too in the first 1/2h"_ would be a great example of that, just like you did for the chicken walkers
Aren’t they the AT-DT? Just for confirmation?
@@thatarkhambatman you are correct
It’s not a new planet, it’s been in Star Wars since the Splinter of the Minds eye book in the 1970s
And that’s Gun that you said that looked like an MP40 might be because a lot of star wars guns are based off of WW1 and WW2 guns
"Star Destroyers in the atmosphere for the first time in Live Action."
Uhhhhh Rouge One did it like a solid two years earlier lmfao
Ive been waiting for this one, Great vid as always Michael!
7:16 this guy is probably an imperial navy trooper (who wear the same helmets as the ‘Death Star troopers’) hence why he’s the only one with that helmet type on the ground (which is an odd place for him to be but makes for interesting speculation)
We see a couple more later hanging near the TIE pilots so they’re likely there to help coordinate the land/air portions of the battle if I had to guess
8:45 looks to be a model similar to EV-9D9
The entire battle of Mimban sequence feels like when a level 3 Cadet in Helldivers thinks that the bots "wont be too bad"
In Andor season 2, Andor might’ve met Solo and Chewie on Mimban
Mimban isn’t new. We first saw it in 1978 in Splinter of the Minds Eye.
(Also, Rogue One has SD’s in atmosphere)
7:19 deathstar trooper but they just used em because it looks cool.
0:35 didn’t we have a star destroyer in atmosphere at Jedha in Rogue One? Did not what to nitpick but wanted to put it out there😀
7:17 That’s an imperial navy trooper.
Love the jango call out, hes my favorite too since i was about 5. Lead to my other favorites being clones and mandos
Mimban troopers are called Mud Troopers btw, they were sent to the worst places.
Thats one of the most underrated and overhated movies of all time!
This is one of the best scenes from the Solo Movie. I've had mixed feelings about it, but there's no denying that the invasion of Mimban is such an amazing scene.
0:27 i don't think that's the first time (es. Rogue one)
That battle really has that all quiet on the western front feel to it witn han as Paul and Backet as Kat
We were introduced to Mimban in Clone Wars season 1 episode 3 where you can hear them talking about Mimban on the clone radio
Stormtrooper 1: I hear we got this crazy new weapon to fight the rebels.
Stormtrooper 2: Cool what is it?
Stormtrooper 1: Mustard Gas.
Stormtrooper 2: We'll be home by Life Day.
I was really happy to finally see a scene of actual "war" in Star Wars!
We need either a live action or animated show focusing solely on ground troops. Like, maybe each one hour episode features a single battle from different times in galactic history? A Mimban-esque cinematography of a Clone Wars battle!
I have a spin off show pitch that’s basically band of brothers but in Star Wars based during the galactic civil war
Mimban had a battle in TCW so they could just do this but with clones the planets people again and droids
7:13 this is an imperial Navy trooper, we see them fairly consistently through A New Hope, namely guarding Princess Leia’s cell in the detention block
Storm troopers are higher grade troopers then normal military in canon.
I personally really liked this movie and I would love to see Alden Ehrenreich as young Han Solo again.
I could imagine Dave Feloni making another series taking place during the events of Solo as a Navy Warfare type show on the Empire Soldiers
Wow, I am excited to watch this
5:02 That's the leg of this screaming soldier at 2:59
imagine if we got an apocalypse now, heart of darkness movie set in the star wars galaxy... gritty, violent, and a psychological analysis of the mind of a rogue imperial war hero-turned renegade.
Those were not flares that was the artillery shot that killed the “just over that last ridge victory is ours” guy
Those are not AT-ST it a AT-DT
I think that a good reference about the different forces in the Empire, would be like Stormtroopers are like the Marine Corps, and the other folks with the raincoats are Army.
7:16 correct me if I’m wrong here but imperial navy helmet? I’ve always seen Death Star troopers wearing them
yeah, imperial army and trenches... two things that for sure fitted awesome
Actually, stormtroopers are actually the Empire’s elite Naval troopers. The troopers on Mimban are Army troopers, grunts and footsoldiers who fought most of the Empire’s battles
Ponchos! Spoken like Cal Kestis
Best part of rogue one, solo, and Andor is the empire perspective
8:07 in regards to your question "when did this happen"
6:49 it happened right here
Solo is an ok movie, but man this battle was sick, i loved the world war 1 feel of it
Bro, to this day, I still think Solo is the most underrated Star Wars movie. This scene feels like it’s right out of 40k.
hes not a inquisitor thats a imperial fleet trooper helmet (anh esb & rotj) we have seen a few in the past mostly in the older star warses as far as I can tell 7:15
Bruh if we ever get a show that’s basically just starwars ww1 or 2 with a squad of imperial army troopers or storm troopers just trying to survive a war…that be fucking awesome.
I love this battle because of its focus on the Empire's traditional military, rather than the stormtroopers which are supposed to be the elite.
Very cool battle, but wouldn`t mind if you`d go through the battle of scarif (especially the space battle)
1:46 totally expected that to be a segue to a betterhelp ad
Another thing about the “imperial infantry” those are ‘Army Troopers’ basically civilians drafted for war, they are the front line for the empire, not stormtroopers, which are stronger, better trained, and more equipped. Army troopers where expendable and easy to produce, that’s who those people are :)
