Third replacement from Sweetwater. They all do the same thing. They work for a few days. Then suddenly when turning your pedal board on, all 3 Channels of the Tri-parallel Mixer wake up on and stuck, but not transmitting anything from the pedals arranged in the 3 channels. I have to unplug the power to the pedal, hold down all 3 Channels, plug the power to the pedal back in & I'm back in business. I'm powering the pedal with the exact required power from a Strymon Zuma. All cables leading to and from are Mogami. It does the same thing using the provided power supply from EHX. Sweetwater can't replicate the issue, but I'm convinced their method isn't sound because first, they aren't testing with a ful pedal board & second, they are playing with it for 3 days until the issue starts to happen.
Finally got some movement. EHX did in fact do a recall. Sent mine off a couple days ago. Looking forward to getting it back. The idea of the pedal is awesome. Now they just gotta get the deliverable nailed.
@@martypello7870 - I got mine back, but even though the power up freeze lock issue got resolved, I couldnt get the thing to work in any conceivable config. I spend hours on my pedal board trying to find a combination that would work. The Tri-parallel removes characteristics of the OD Pedals. It's hard to explain. It changes the color of the pedals. (With just one on at a time). And forget about getting levels set. By the time you get it set up to be usable with your overall pedalboard volume level, the sound of the pedals in the 3 Channels are stripped down and lose just enough of their character that I gave up on using it with OD Pedals. So then I tried making it an affects mixer. The settings for retaining trails worked fine, but I tried working this in in both the affects loop & out of the affects loop and it caused what I can only describe as "ghost" feedback. I went through 3 replacements, then a 4th recall send-off & cumulatively spend easily 10 hours trying to get this to enhance my board, and finally sent it back to Sweetwater and got a store credit and bought a little Mackie Mixer & some Daddario NYXL 11-49 (the best strings I've ever played in 40 years of playing). I just couldn't find any combination that resulted in my board being better.
I had to return my first one. However the replacement is awesome. I'm only assigning 1 pedal to each right now (TS-9 - Soul Food - Route 66 V3), but I feel confident I'm going to be able to dial this in. The first one I had to return would "lock" up at board boot up. I'd have to unplug it & while holding down all 3 channels, plug it back in and it would work. The replacement solved that issue & I'm good to go now.
This thing is junk. I have had it replaced & the replacement from Sweetwater was fine for 3 days. Just booted up my Pedal Board & it sounded like a siren went off. Had to unplug the tri-level - hold down all three channles - then replug in the power - then it works. These things were not thought out well AT ALL. The testing had to be subpar. Great idea. POOR EXECUTION. THESE NEED TO BE RECALLED!!!!!
These did in fact get recalled. Sent it to EHX for the fix. Got it back. Even though the issue was fixed, i couldn't get this pedal to work. When I set the pedals up in a way that they sounded good, I couldn't get unity levels for all 3 channels without stripping out all the character of each individual pedal. I spent hours on top of hours. I tried it before the amp, in the affects loop.....I tried every possible combination on my board TRYING TO BE ON THE SIDE OF THE PEDAL and it just never did what it purported to do. The issue (after the annoying power up issue was fixed) was that the levels were NEVER able to be mixed to unity without stripping all of the character out of the pedals in a given channel. In fact, when I would get to unity, all the pedals in the channels had so much of their character stripped away that they all sounded essentially the same. Great idea, extremely poor execution. I can't imagine this pedal going down as a "classic". I was rooting hard for this pedal & it ranks - when considering time invested & hassle - as the single most disappointing pedal purchase I've ever made. It's a DOG.
if this thing works .does it getrid of the problem.dis or overdrive into delay.into front of amp.insted of delay into send and return of amp.could be interesting for amps that don't have send a return ???
