This concept exists in our countries in North Africa. It's a period when mother and child are very much surrounded and protected, because it's thought that during these forty days they are very vulnerable. I'm surprised to see that this notion exists everywhere in the world. Thank you !
Thank you so much for uploading these videos. What an intense and trouble period, I am thankful for all the help, tips and recommendations I can get! We are really the strongest of the species and our love network and support are what makes all the difference. Thanks a million of times, hope to help other women one day in return of what I am learning from you and others through internet
Such helpful videos. I’m so glad I found your channel. Do you have any advice on an overactive letdown? It’s dominating our entire breastfeeding experience and we are at our wits end.
Hi Brooke, I'm glad you found the videos helpful. In answer to your question, if your baby is having trouble coping with fast milk flow, I suggest using the Natural Breastfeeding "starter" positions, so baby's head is above your nipple so milk flows uphill. Most babies find this much easier to manage. Our free longer video is here: www.naturalbreastfeeding.com/
On Day 6......Im very emotional and soo tired. It's been hard to let go of the "control" and let others take care of my responsibilities. Particularly my toddler who often just wants Mommy to do it. 34 more days.......
+xandria20 Yes, it *is* a very emotional and intense time. You might enjoy my blog post about the personal growth that comes from this experience here: www.nancymohrbacher.com/blog/2010/10/15/process-product-and-personal-growth.html I'll be rooting for you! :)
First time mother here. My daughter and I started off to a rough start with breastfeeding. Sadly my nurse at the hospital basically shoved her onto my breast and she seems to have gotten traumatised by that experience and we have been trying to rewire her brain. She is finally not resisting my breast, but I just know the latch can be improved so she gets a better feed. Do you have any videos to show how a baby can latch on a A-B cup breast?
Hi Brinda, IMHO, the key is to give baby control over latch and position yourself so gravity will help her. I suggest watching the free video at the following link, which gives all of the specifics: www.naturalbreastfeeding.com/
In addition to my video suggestion below, you can find a free, downloadble handout that describes this same approach here: drive.google.com/file/d/0ByXmaBmpwGAvYU9GRlZPc2ZrVzg/view Best of luck!
Sorry, but your videos are not helpful but they are just plain clickbait to sell your program. In the 2020is there is no place for that on the internet.
That's a very cynical point of view. Just so you know, I've received many messages from nursing families who tell me my free videos helped them solve their problems. That was my hope when I made them available.
@@NancyMohrbacher I kind of doubt that. You deliberatly omit important parts in die videos to get people to sign up for "your program". Like I said, plain clickbait and a better ad, you should ad least mark it as such.
@@digital-experiance2390, that is absolutely 100% false. The full video (with all the parts) is completely free and accessible to everyone. On this channel, I included short clips, because not everyone wants to take the time to watch the full video, which is at: www.naturalbreastfeeding.com/
@@digital-experiance2390you can doubt all you like, but we made a conscious decision to provide all the info families need in that free, accessible video. We also made it available in multiple languages (Spanish, Chinese, Latvian). I'm sorry you have such a cynical worldview.

Do you have any cluster feeding tips?
+Sasha Wolfe Just hang in there. This too shall pass. :)
Do you have tips/videos on how to modify this technique for bottle feeding?
+Diamonddraw89 Here you go: www.nancymohrbacher.com/blog/2013/12/3/for-the-caregiver-of-a-breastfed-baby.html
Cuarentena. Lol it's not quarantine lmao , it's closer to "the 40" cuarenta is 40... Quarantine.... That's funny...
Lol it certainly feels like you are quarantined let me tell you
The word quarantine also comes from a 40 day isolation period (to prevent spread of illness), so no wonder they are similar/easy to mix up
