It requires little to no hard skills, while stem but even just literature require some actual knowledge lol You see many randoms doing interviews on the street or writing articles better than journalists, you would never see a random lecturing a class about the 2nd world war or building a bridge. Literally one of the most useless degrees in university, as proven by Anish.

Unless of course you get serious guys who go into background, get a sense of the sports industry, the social background of players etc., You are probably from a generation that grew up with UA-cam, and probably think journalism is meant to entertain.. that's not what it is.. it is meant to clarify, bring wider issues into public focus, to keep the public sections of society transparent.. Good journalism is something else, and you probably don't need it, the way you see the world.. smug, opinionated about things you know nothing about, mistaking a joke skit for journalism etc., Yeah a random shouldn't bother to do journalism, it should be specialised like history or engineering, it is entirely the professions fault for having let things comes to such a pitch..
