@@deckreview Yeah, I've got some old decks that I've just kind of left to gather dust due them being pretty well used but now I've seen how well fanning powder works, ill have to get them back out.
If you like the basic look of that deck (bunny in hat) I recommend Hanson Chien Productions Bunnyland deck. It's my favorite Vintage stock/Legendary finish deck by TWPCC. I started preferring TWPCC over USPCC when I noticed that they are objectively higher quality in at least five different metrics. For example, all TWPCC decks faro equally well in both directions due to a proprietary cutting process. They also never suffer from registration errors like so many USPCC decks do. And best of all, TWPCC offers at least 3 different finishes and at least six or seven different card stocks. That means 18-21 or more different card stock/finish combos compared to USPCC's 4 combinations.
I bet Fournier is worse at fanning. The only deck I know of almost as bad as Fournier is the 2016 ICO cardistry deck. It's a great card stock for everything BUT fans though...but nothing is worse than Fournier in my experience. EDIT (after seeing the first 2.5 minutes of this video): ok maybe this deck IS worse than Fornier after all...but Fournier still deserves the silver medal.
Stuff been working for nearly a hundred years and was what magicians used back then too. I’ve been playing with some of the “best” cards of different eras and they don’t fan without it.
Short answer it depends but for more casual cardists it lasts a while plus it is very cheap in the US and you get a lot. Long answer it also depends on the cards and what it is used for. The cards with the little air pockets holds powder longer than smooth cards. For my fanning cards, I had not had to repowder them since I applied them because I don’t do springs, cuts, or bending flourishes. For platform stage card manipulation magic about 40 practice/performance runs before repowdering. I do not use it for close up card magic
hey man! very nice video, great detail. i have 2 questions though: 1. does this need to be done multiple times, if yes, how frequently? and 2. i have plastic cards will this work for them?
Hey there. 1. You will need to repowder them eventually. How soon depends on how sweaty your hands are, what’s being done with them, and how little do you use. For cardistry a good rule is to use the least amount needed to get the job done. 2. Do you have 100% plastic cards or is it plastic coated? I can try 100% plastic cards tomorrow but I’m sure it’ll work, just not with the plastic bag method. The only 100% plastic cards I’ve tried it on, worked okay. I don’t recommend or practice card fans with plastic cards out of preference anyways. It’s not the best tool for the task. With plastic coated cards, the shiny coated cards hold powder weird and need a different method than the bag trick. The matte plastic coated cards work fine with any method
@@deckreview hey, thanks alot for the answer. mine are 100% plastic. im using talc instead of fanning powder, its the best alternative apparently. i dont need them to be perfect, just now they dont fan whatsoever i just need them to get any progress whatsoever, you think talc will do the trick?
@@itsme-gg9jc I have not used talcum powder so I don’t know. I don’t have any 100% plastic cards fanning powder on it. Why are you using a 100% plastic deck? Like my earlier comment said, it’s not the best tool for card fanning to begin with. I am just trying to understand. Are Bicycle cards expensive at your location?
@@deckreview they're temporary. they're def not bad a pretty expensive deck for poker. i just live in georgia and any sort of good cards are hard to get a hold of. i am ordering some good noc and bicycle cards though in a bit. thanks for all the help!

Agreed. I get the same results! Fanning powder rocks! It's a little messy but well worth it.
