@@DJDprod.5828imo it’s third haven’t heard enough of bittsm or dbr but with the little bit of bittsm I’ve heard it’s still worse than Astro it goes 1 rodeo 2. Utopia 3, Astro
Travis as a kid loved going to six flags astroworld when he was little in Houston but they took it away in 1998. As a result he wanted the listener to feel like also which is why the album gets progressively darker like you’re slowly pulling away a theme park from a kid
Literally has became one of my favorites from Astroworld... I think that Trav's rapping ability Is very underrated that's why Is so damn good of a song
First listen: Favorite tracks were stargazing, sicko mode, rip screw, can’t say, Yosemite, and coffee bean 5 years later: Stargazing, rip screw, no bystanders, astrothunder, and houstonfornication I had to limit it to top 5 otherwise I would’ve just said every track is amazing. This album has aged so well and I still play it a lot to this day (even with the release of utopia!).
idk but my first listen to every music is not that good ..i enjoy the music after repeating it cuz in first listen i actually can't understand everything going on on the song
"algorithm wise and growing my channel wise this isnt the best move" I literally got this randomly put into my recommended 9 minutes after you posted and i never watch this stuff LMAO
1:01 her: “growing my channel wise this isn’t the best move to make” me: checks her channel and sees rap is her MOST viewed videos, i would say this was the best move especially ASTROWORLD lol only if she knew
The name name of the album Astroworld came from an amusement park in Houston where Travis would go as a kid before it got shut down. It honestly fits the album so well considering how much people describe the album as a roller-coaster. My first favorites were sicko mode, Stop trying to be God, Cant say because of Don Toliver and Astrothunder. Overtime my new favorites have been Houstonfornication, Coffee bean, RIP Screw, and still Astrothunder.
I wish I could go back and listen to this album for the 1st time again. Travis been my favorite artist since 2014, when he dropped Days Before Rodeo. When I heard Stargazing for the first time, I knew this album was gonna be legendary 🙌🏽
On my first listen i went crazy about sicko mode, all the beat switches, drake's feature, swae lee hidden feature, everything about that track. Astrothunder grew on me so much, i first thought it was the worst song on the album, and now i think its one of the best Right now, i listen the most to wake up and stop trying to be god, such amazing songs. Also, i would love to see a Utopia reaction, i think you will like the album
Even though sicko mode is so overplayed and not best track for me, its still without a doubt one of best songs for first listens, really love the element of surprises on that track so many wtf moments in a good way.
that somber feeling that you feel is referred to as melodic, that sound and tone within the music. some thing Travis has perfected and Don Toliver as well. those two are the perfect match when it comes to music duos and what makes it even more special is that Don is signed to Cactus Jack (Travis’) label. other songs they have together: Flocky Flocky (Life of a Don), You (Life of a Don), Euphoria (Heaven or Hell), WHAT TO DO? (JACKBOYS)…this is record label collab album, Embarrassed (LoveSick Deluxe)
upon first listen i really liked Stargazing and Can’t Say. Something about Don Toliver’s voice was just captivating to me. now my favorites have to be Stargazing, still, as well as Skeletons, which is now my favorite Travis Scott song of all time. i really love the vibe and the spacey-ness of the song, especially with the production and the mixing on the vocals.
The whole project was meant to give the impression of a theme park in all the twisted production and beat changes. Every track had its own special vibe and tone like Carousel 🎠 and Butterfly Effect 🦋. Coffee Bean stuck with me the hardest cause it’s like the come down from all the crazy spectacle stuff and it’s like you’re walking out of the theme park at the end of a great day. 🎈
Man this album brings so many memories and feelings from different times of my life… take me back so I can listen to this album right when it dropped so I can experience this properly 😖🔥 imo his best album.
I would recommend trying to leave the features a surprise. The feeling of someone new coming onto the song in a completely unpredictable way just excites me so much. Just a suggestion, but great reaction
It usually works very well when you know the artists that are featured. I feel like for Utopia there'll be a handful that she'll recognise but overall it may not be as exciting
You are jokin right? You never listened to the Eminem show, The queen dead, Currents, the Slow rush, inner speaker, Lonerism, Thriller right? You are very new to music right?
I think Utopia is so intresting you have to listen to it. I hear a lots if music especially rap but this album is something i never heard before. The first listen was crazy it felt so much darker and maby even haunted. Im so curious to see you reaction :)
It's not the acceptable take but this is my favorite Travis Scott album. I think Rodeo has higher highs but Astroworld is a more consistent quality range that helps me feel less whiplash when I get to the "bad" songs on it and it helps me complete listens more often Lately people have been saying this album aged poorly and I have no idea why, maybe they're referring to the controversies making it worse? I have no idea
Aged poorly??? I mostly hear people say it aged greatly. I here more and more people praise it as Travis best album instead of Rodeo. Before everyone would always say Rodeo but after a few years of astroworld, i hear more say astroworld
Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight is a 2016 album by Travis, you should really listen to that one too at some point. You don't need to listen to it before Utopia though
“Astroworld” album, (named after the theme park) flows like a roller coaster because it used to be a 6 flags amusement park before they sold they land in Houston 😒
I guess to get the vibe of the album people picture themselves with the songs in the Astroworld park and matching a scenario with a song and also with the songs it can be pictured to be a rollercoaster of emotions
Reactors tend to skip over it nowadays because of how much fans demand Astroworld. Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight is my favorite Travis project, and it gets overlooked so much. Shelby would love it.
Ive seen ur reactions to weeknd albums. The song “wake up” was originally for my dear melancholy but abel gave it to travis for Astroworld. I could never see it fitting on weeknds album tbh considering the vibe of it😂
Please give a listen to Eternal Atake by Lil Uzi Vert. It really shows how much he changed, musically, since the release of LUV is rage 2. There's also a Deluxe version of the album that's a whole album of work added onto the original.
