1. I do not think the software was mentioned as an replacement of the desktop version. Moreas, I think it is a thing that should improve your workflow and collecting ideas. 2. Never ever expect Logic job is to take care of making 3rd party au or vst plugs compatible / available. You have auv3 like all others, thats decided by apple. 3. See it more like an extended version of garage band, there you are (but is that not a lot more on the table ?) 4. Even more you can exchange all with desktop version if using native effects only.. so thats great news to me. 4. It provides live loops with all features, this is a huge step, as it is now beating stuff like loopy pro
I use it as a companion with the Mac version. I can do all my arranging on the go, I do my mixing back home. Also, the Live Loops is great for performances. Thing is, I have a Mac mini at home. Those that already have a MBP might not need this version.
I am using iPad as my only music production platform for more than 10 years (13 to be precise) so i am very familiar with this platform.. i would say Apple did lot of bad UI decisions in iPad Logic .. starting the annoying opening of left panel every f*cking time you add new track, continuing with need of comstamtly closing and resizong various panels to get enough space for the view you want to use at given moment, ending with absolutely horrible UI for build in plugins - like commin, Sculpture with its > 100 knobs lile super long scrollable list of knobs ?? Apps on iPad needs to have UI very much optimalised for small screen an many small developers managed this excellently (like Drambo, Nanostudio 2, AUM, Bearmaker 2 and many others) Apple dailed, UI is just convoluted and sometimes just mess…
It’s really not, this is such binary thinking… I rather have a subscription service to make sure developers have the funds to keep apps I am actively enjoying and using updated and functional rather than buying something once and having it abandoned for something new later.
@@dr280 at the same way. You can pay for it and it doesn’t have upgrades regularly . I paid for a year but i don’t like to be charged every year for a app that i should buy once for all
I am in the market for new computer and was ready to pull the trigger then they announced this. I'm still on the fence. The one question I have is, Logic Pro is fine, but what about the plugins I use? I use analog lab and ezdrummer for mixing and still haven't seen any indication of those being available for iPad yet?
Yeah I don’t get this. If you need 5 pin midi, connect to an interface that supplies that connectivity. Though many newer synths do midi over usb. So get a usb hub. However using a mbp or Mac mini you would still need an audio/midi interface and probably a usb hub. So same situation. I use logic on iPad with my digitakt, mpc, and external electric drum kit all the time.
Yes, most people disagree that subscriptions are a rip-off. Logic for iPad is useless for me because it’s a completely different interface. I don’t want a different interface I might as well just use a different app. Cubase is just as powerful and it’s only $40 so yeah. I’m writing this while listening to you. Apologise for Apple using a different interface period my God you’re a nuisance to the scene. You should stop apologising for companies abusing their customers. Having to adapt and change what you doing constantly is the easiest way to slow down creativity and productivity.
I feel you brother but if you pay for the program he equals out to pay five years for $50 not to mention all the updates that will come it may be in the future they’ll let you own it
You already own nothing in terms of software since once it gets old ,if not updated, it becomes archaic. subscription models keep developers on payroll to improve software and make it better. I am sick of people who thought shelling out hundreds for adobe’s/apples old software just to have it erode and become outdated was ever practical. adobe’s previous software before switching to a subscription model became outdated and unusable so quickly as newer technology came out.
Logic Pro is the worst daw in existence. Please save your money people and literally chose anything else. You’ll notice how shit Logic is when u use other much more advanced yet simpler daws.
Disagree. Whatever daw you prefer is probably “best” as they all are pretty capable now adays. I’ve got Ableton live suit. Been using Ableton since the early 2000s. Just find I prefer logic lately. Obviously live is hugely capable, so I’m not saying logic is more capable. Just a preference. So go with what you are most productive on!

The best and shortest explanation👍👏

Good question.
Which specific iPad are you using?
M1 iPad Air
Has potential it's a bit complicated I don't like not being able to access samples easy

Do you teach how to make beats for beginners on in logic for the ipad?
We should all avoid this terrible Subscription punishment or other companies will think they should follow suit. Subscription is AWFUL

Hi great videos. Can you review the mooer drummer x 2 pedal?
Be great if Ableton was ported to as well :)

Short answer, NO!
Cant find this app on Android. Any suggestions on and APP for LIVE Looping?
Logic Pro is made by Apple. It is only available for Mac and iPad
As a stand alone it's OK. For use with external synths it's completely useless. I'm cancelling my subscription after the 1st month trial
Oh, I was thinking of using it with my hydrasynth... why is it completely useless?

GarageBand with subscription… nope! I started with GarageBand on iPad and looking back with Logic on Mac … no way.
You've been manipulated into thinking a monthly charge is better than owning it outright. "You vill own nothing and be happy".

@@dr280 You own it until it doesn't run anymore. I owned a cup until I dropped and smashed it. I still owned it.
The endless $5 box sets full of final cut and photoshop at my thrift would like a word about being happy

Logic Pro is all hype that you pay a subscription for, it can’t do anything that Cubasis or Auria can
