Oh man this was going to be great 5 seconds after he started singing, I knew right away all the judges would think it was an amazing girl hahahaha.
Great one again guys - You always know what we should be watching to be entertained! Me thinks we will be watching more of this guy!

Zhou was singing a song of the elder sister of the first judge who wore the white T shirt, that is why he was so surprised and appreciated how well he sang it. Don't forget this is the first time Zhou showed his face on TV. He is on Apple Music under Charlie Zhou (actually now changed back to Zhou Shen，just checked)

Zhou Shen is a talented and great singer who able to sing in different voices/languages/genres. Coincidentally I came across
Zhoushen from this show.
“Huanyan” means happy joyful countenance.
In my many years classical
and opera vocalists, I was
Amazed by Zhoushen performance.
In fact just from this performance
Zhoushen was in fact much better
than the four judges.
Unfortunately he was only a
participant in this Chinese Voice.
He was brushed off by the woman
judge in the final though Zhoushen
was the BEST artist singer Even then
by my judgment.
After doing much search on him why
he could sing with a Bel Canto power
and his interpretation was excellent,
I learnt that he was in fact a professionally trained Bel Canto
Opera tenor, who can sing with
beautiful countertenor voice and
coloratura style amazingly.
Therefore he doesn’t sing like a normal secular pop or secular
singer but using his opera singing
skill that can transmit through the
whole concert hall.
This show was his first performance in public in 25/7/2014
After years of hard work and
given opportunities by other channels.
He is the TOP artist singer
so far.
He is gifted with interchangeable
voices and can sing more than
12 International languages.

The last judge was Wang Feng, and I remember he said his team already had a similar talent by then.

The last judge is a rocker so he think Zhou's voice isn't suit his team but he really like Zhou's voice. Zhou Shen was 21 years old when he attended The voice of China. He failed because his outlook is not marketable and then he went back Ukraine to finish his study. Many people think the game isn't fair and he got some fans support him. Let's be honest, Zhou Shen only failed because Na Ying doesn't recognize talent.

It is just so so very sad after Zhou Shen gets voted off in the second round. He tries so hard not to cry. It is so touching and emotional. It took many years for him to believe in himself. He has so much confidence now. But I cannot imagine how many years his life and hopes were filled with tears.
Zhou Shen has a high, feminine voice that often got him bullied in school. If his classmate only could have seen the talent in that voice.
As an introduction into Zhou "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and "Time to Say Goodbye".
For something different from him, watch his version of "Ring the Doorbell" and "Da La Beng Ba".
His biggest success is the song "Big Fish".
Another singer that is highly rated is Hua Chenyu. One never knows what one will get with a Hua Chenyu song since he mixes genres and composes many of his own songs. He is an epic stage performer spilling his emotions into the audience so they can share in those emotions. He is also a master are redeveloping cover songs into his unique perspective.
I have a recommendation list, but it is not really in any particular order. "Nunchucks", "Child", I am what I am", "Fake Monk", "Friend", and "Dad, I'm Home".
The judge who did not turn around is more on rock style.

His name can be pronounced as Zhoohh Shern. He does not speak English or Cantonese well at that time but he could sing them beautifully. But ZS will probably master them as he’s a very smart & determined young man. He speaks Ukrainian and Russian bcoz he studied in Ukraine and took his countertenor lessons with an excellent music professor at Lviv Conservatory of Music. He loves music since young to escape the loneliness & later, verbal bullying during middle school. They’re his refuge where he can enter a different world that makes him happy. His parents sent him to Ukraine to study dentistry but his 1st love is always music. After he switched major, he begged his favorite music professor there to take him on as his student but was refused several times. He never gave up and went again & again & again daily over 3 months. Finally his persistence & potential impressed the professor so much that he relented. Unfortunately that professor passed away a few years ago without telling ZS of his illness. Subsequently ZS flew there to pay his respects at his grave site. ZS was a shy & humble but has now morphed into a sharp-tongue, funny & still humble person, being more confident with time. He joined the Voice at age 21 but was eliminated by a female judge called NA Ying whom I greatly detest for her denigration of one prolific & excellent singer/composer who had composed >1500 songs, named Dao Lang aka Sharp Wolf, whose songs are wildly popular throughout China in the early 2000s. Daolang was the only singer whose single sold 270 million copies overnight in China without any agent or recording company . That female judge was insanely jealous and egoistic tho she has connections & influence. She thot ZS looked unappealing and has no charisma. Anyway, ZS is now 30 going in 31 but still looks like a high school kid. So glad he’s wildly successful. He’s constantly try to choose songs that are meaningful . He strives to be an inspiration to young people wherever he goes, and urges them to never ever give up their dreams, to persist and to believe in themselves. He also strives to be more creative and positive in whatever he does. He’s now given the recognition he truly deserves. I believe ZS has got a photographic ear and memory.

He is now the No. 1 artist in China where many shows want him to be in it. Producers want him to sing the theme songs for their movies or TV Series. Major & important shows and event will certainly want to get him in it too- bcoz he succeeded by his own ability and God given talent. He’s very respectful & polite to people he works with, no matter their standing. That’s why his fan base is HUGH. He is loved by people of all ages throughout China.

A bit annoyed, but already got used to it. The two can easily be placed together in comparison probably because they have similar vocal range and training, and are of similar age. While Dimash tends to show off his vocal range and technical abilities, Zhou Shen has learned at an early stage to submit his skills to artistic expression, thanks to the advice from one of his most important musical patrons Gao Xiao-song (高晓松). This can be clearly demonstrated by their respective versions of Memory from the musical Cats. Respective admirers have described their voices as out of this world, with Dimash being an alien and Zhou Shen an angel. Personally I would prefer hearing an angel sing.
the voice is weird with like.. the judge strategies... sometimes they think they want to have a certain -type- of singer on their team or there's other 'political' posturing with how they decide what kind of singers to turn for. Or maybe their group is already 'full' or they don't feel like competing with the other judges for a certain singer. so they could all immediately know a singer is great and still not turn around, or not for a while.
