I always made slime with borax. I made like 40 to 50 slimes and never had gotten sick or any concerns. My brother he's 2 and plays with me and the slime and never gotten sick my mom just say don't let him eat it. And my brother he's pretty smart so that not a problem at all. My mom let me make smile!

Not everyone will be burned by borax. It's a reaction some people have. Some being the keyword. But none the less, it isn't the best option. You can't argue that.

Eye drops and contact solution contains borax. On the back of the box it clearly states that it includes boric acid and sodium borate. They both mean borax. Something that you're putting directly into your eye. How is contact solution suddenly so much safer? It's basically the same thing but more expensive. There's nothing wrong with borax and if you don't believe me then watch "Steve Spangler loses his mind over borax!" It explains why borax is not bad for you. Please get educated and realize that contact lens solution is not safer in any way.

Ok, I'm tired of this. The girl was allergic to the borax. Now everyone is scared to make slime when they really shouldn't be, a lot of people including myself have made slime with borax and hadn't have a problem with anything. If you're that scared then go to your doctor and ask if you're allergic and also do some research, there are also ways to make it without pure borax, but I don't recommend the cornstarch version it turns out either too doughy or too sticky, but you could use contact solution or the liquid soap the doctor was talking about (both contain borax) keep in mind the only way to make slime with glue (pva) is to use something that contains boric acid which doesn't have to be pure borax meaning it's safer. And the doctor didn't mean liquid soap he meant laundry detergent and the ones that work for me was liquid starch tide and gain. I know this was long but there was a lot to say

I'm allergic to borax, and when I made slime with it I had no concerns. When I touched the plain powder accidentally it gave a slight burn but it wasn't bad. She must've added too much borax, or touched the plain powder too much.
Actually, in 1800-1900 they use borax instead of soap, soo honestly i think the girl did something to trigger that type of burns. They use borax and water to wash their hands.

Ugh conservative news channels😒 I agree that borax CAN be an irritant, but that only occurs when it's not handled properly...borax must be diluted in water, or else the borax itself can actually be pretty hazardous:/ so for all those slime-makers out there, just know that borax can actually be safe. Just be sure on how you're supposed to correctly use it:)

Its_Mee _ no. All the slime activators have it she used the borax with her hands and didn't dissolve it if you dissolve the borax in hot water it's not harmful if you use it right. Boric acid is in contact lens solution eye drops and borax liquid starch and more it's ok all of the contact solution has it :))
