Damn! The queen moved into her new THA Mini Hearth home so quickly I did not get a chance to record it. lol
After comparing my Pogo. colonies, I believe that this new colony is in fact Pogonomyrmex maricopa.
There's one way to find out. Let your Pogonomyrmex barbatus sting you then the Pogonomyrmex maricopa, it should hurt more 😆. Congrats on your new colony.

It seems that my new Pogo. maricopa colony do not enjoy the heat as much as my other Pogo. colonies. I keep finding them hanging upside down and furthest away from the heat sources. So I moved their THA mini hearth to a spot to provide a bit less heat and see how they do.
Are you allowed to the Florida Harvester Ant with the right permits?
Funny you should ask me that. I started the process to get a permit. I stopped because I had a few questions that Mack was able to answer. I just need to go back and finish the application and start the process. Why do you ask?
Cause they are only Pogos that have majors

Can you do a video of you moving them?
Yeah... I wanted to, but they moved into the nest far too quickly. I apologize though, I could have recorded me adding them to the THA Mini Hearth formicarium. I JUST got off the phone with Mack and I got some new "stuff" coming pretty soon. So in the future I will try to record more of the actual process of taking care of my colonies. Cool? =0)
Try Ant Gear they’re pretty much the same business but smaller and they’re from Arizona. You can pick them up in Phoenix.
