- Working 1936 Mills Tycoon pinball machine explanation and demonstration. This machine is a single ball payout pinball, and is essentially a slot machine masquerading as a pinball machine. Up to seven nickels can be played, with a payout potential of 2, 4, 8, 12 or 30 nickels, which were dispensed into a hidden drawer at the lower front right of the machine. Originally this pinball ran on batteries, but an optional 120 volt power supply was available (this machine has that power supply.) We added a physical power switch (opposed to the original timer unit, that auto shut off the machine after 5 minutes.) This is the style of game that gave pinball a gambling reputation in the 1930s, and a reputation that pinball makers fought from the 1950s to present day.
I'd _heard_ of pinball machines with gambling features, but this is the very first time I've ever _seen_ one! Many thanks for the upload! 😇💯👍
Is there any chance of an interior view too if you still have it, please? The Aspie Engineer in me would *love* to see how the coin and payout mechs work! ❤
This blowing anyone else's mind who grew up watching Growing Pains? 🤯
