He wasn't going to dethrone Quick and he deserved a starting job elsewhere, which he got. Darcy loved his time in LA and wanted to stay, but knew he couldn't if he wanted to elevate his game. Now he's back and can have the reigns of this team that he started his climb with and recapture his career. This has ALL the makings of a full circle redemption story and I am totally here for it! I think he'll bounce back in spades, and I still think Blake (& Bergevin) should be gone after this coming season (Unless we win the Cup). Sidenote - I'm sure it was tough for Iafallo to go from LA to the Peg. The weather doesn't bother him being from Buffalo, but he sure loved surfing, skiing, etc all within a few hours drive from his house. He loved it here and is a big time selfless team player. His game will pick up for sure. Kupari will never be more than a 4th liner unfortunately and Vilardi has sick skills, but he's kind of a prick and gets hurt a lot. Was never a fan of the initial trade and that extra 2nd we gave REALLY pissed me off, so unnecessary. Just thankful to be able to move on. Now we can both watch the drama unfold in DC from a distance....

Caps have a strong locker. 25+ goals along with 40+ Assists will be a steal. Nobody is talking about Oshie may also be done. If that happens, with this trade, CAPS will have $18 mil. Still can bring in a quality player or 2.
The Kings basically traded vilardi for PLD. When this happened I thought vilardi is better than him but injury prone and he is injury prone as he will max at 50 gms a season. Iafallo is a 3/4th liner at 4M, Kupari needs improvement and a 2nd rd pick develops fully 5 years from now. The Kings look bad here but kudos to not double down on a mistake.
