Salute these women for the leading themselves to such Himalayan terrains from comfortable city life. At this age, they are pulling the chain which people half their age will never think of. Hats off to them.
Most of the Metro folks who wish to relocate do live here for few months before making a final decision. But if ur like these two ladies then u can go on..Salute to the ladies for there grit and determination
I have lived while serving in Army in these areas (Both in Garhwal and Kumaon) for many years. Mountains are very romantic in the day light for any type of activity but they they are horrible and demonic during night time. Few people can dare live a solitary life style such as these ladies are living. I wish them happiness but I advise the new adventurers who think of getting entrapped in such an activity may think many times over .
I agree n m curious.... I have spent many days n weeks n months in mountains... but never loved them... I later realized I was more of a beach person .... but to realize finally that i was and indeed am a person's person ... which means no jungles for me.. Globally many people have left cities and went to live in places they like....it can be London or Jakarta, Riyadh or Kiev, Sao Paulo or Los Angeles. Ultimately everyone wants peace and away from stress. One can be absolutely in peace in any remote corner of Bihar or Rajasthan or Tamil Nadu yet be happy with that life they have chosen. Being away from race and near nature is more important. To a Rajasthani being in a desert is peace, to a coastal person living near the sea is their biggest dream.
This is truly inspiring! I left Mumbai seven years ago to settle down in outskirts of Pune. Now that I'm adjusted to the culture I'm planning on moving further out for a farmland.
