Last July I visited La Jolla with my Girlfriend and had a real blast and we saw all the nice places and Sandiego; I also visited Los Angeles and Laurel Canyon and a lot of other places in the state; It's an experience that we will both never forget. Coming from the upper Midwest. I would never ever want to live in California though because the houses are so expensive and the cost of living is so high.
Lived in San Diego for 40 years. Used to go to La Jolla just about everyday⛱ Have been in Virginia for 20 years now. Hubby and I drove across Country last summer 2019. Sure glad we did. Cause this world has changed w Covid 19.😞
This is quite nostalgic, use to live there before this video was made. The old 20s hotel on the hill, Silverado - in that area in 09 there was a jim and a juice place inside. The trees laying down on the grass. Cars looked great back then, they look so strange now, like driving in an office. Amazing how quick video changed from 4 by 3 to 16 by 9, 720p and then quickly 1080 and then 4k in only 10 years. The spot was a nice pizza place there in 4:10 and next to it an ice cream place. A lot of businesses went out of business there in 2010. They dint have the traffic cameras on almost every intersection back then it was nicer more animistic. There was a church there and every hour the bells would ring telling u the time. Back then there weren't people all over the streets staring at there phones people actually had real conversations in person. There was usually a blue Morgan car parked by the park. That tall wall in the video with the art lines there was a bank the the right of that that was not shown in the video. That ball fountain almost a signature of la jolla. There where a lot more little kids back with there parents then now.
Instead of seeing so many fancy smancy shops it would have been nice to see some shots of the seven caves and the old Cave Store, the La Jolla Historical Society building, the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, Marine Room and some more of the beautiful churches there like St. James by the Sea Episcopal Church.
dennis 13 good because those exist here in KC and Wichita and boy they are IRRITATING AND ANNOYING even though the exterminators get rid of them during summer.. ;)
