No. Alex LEAVING HER HAVE NO SENSE I think the if was only for the kids he could visit them but Alex was still in love with Izzie and that why he left. But i really prefer Jolex, you?

i only watched the series because of alex and jo, after he left for me it's over, i love this girl as an actress and in real life, I would never trade her for Izzie,never never never, I know Alex left the serie because he wanted to, but they could have at least left them married and him working somewhere else, the way they made him leave was ridiculous, out of the blue love Jo, get a divorce, I'm so angry about this
now my opinion why he left the series in real life now
remember the movie mr and mrs smith I think the same thing was happening
the writer was increasingly bringing them closer in the series, friends, living together, engagement, marriage, work together, party together, just put the pieces together
I know that in real life he is married, he has 3 children, she is also married, he has 2 children too, on his part, imagine, in real life, he comes home, changes his habits, starts to act differently, the woman starts to think silly, and suddenly she sees that her husband is changing, sees that his job he works with a beautiful woman, super sexy

I love Jo on the show and in real life
the show could convey a better image about love and family, just like it did with Alex and Jo
the series is getting horrible, sex, sex, and more sex, changing couples, no one stays with anyone, no family example, horrible
That said, I loved Alex and Jo's story, I'll keep it for the rest of my life, I hope one day I'll find someone just like Jo in my life, and I'll never do to her what happened on the show.

I think the writers ruined the character after giving him a great evolution, if the actor didn't want to continue there was nothing else to do and at least they didn't kill him. Still I totally hated that they implied that it was always Izzie when we all know that Alex totally loved Jo. 100% agree with you
