Very well done demo video. Some channels that try to do these either get too close or too far. This was perfect. Thumbs up!
These are nice. Very nice effect kit and hit a little harder than I expected. I think I'll hold onto these and figure out some mix with other shells in the future. No sky puking these.
Trade for 2020 death?
@@kenneths7771 Based on what I've seen of 2020 Death on video? No way. These were $45 for one box. 2020 Death videos look really bad. I've got plenty of 2018 Death leftover. :) Only Death I'm interested in is 2018 or the special 2019. Our local source brought in more Death recently, but I haven't had a chance to look at the cases yet.
Speaking of shells, we sent up one "Hiroshima" Vs. a "Zombie" tonight. The Hiroshima was painfully disappointing! The Zombie (same company) was way better. I'm so glad they were running low on the Hiroshima shells! I was actually wanting a case! Thank goodness they didn't have them! It was only a 1 shell comparison, but neither shell is anywhere near OG Death. Not even close.

@@gjam5204 Well, you gotta take it sparingly. I'm sure there was at least 1 good batch of mushroom clouds. It'd be like if someone shot 2020 Ds and was like, "I don't get what the hype is."
I wouldnt trade death shells for these, these are mass produced shells from Brothers. Also all this talk about 2018 death shells, I got some 4” lidu shells lets see which one wins.

I had several different shells this year. Hellcat cans, quest, grand jury, death shells, arms depot and neon skies by raccoon. The Maelstroms where the most expensive out of all the shells, but I will say I was most impressed by them, they were a little bit louder and got more height then the rest. I was then followed by the death shells. Sucks I wasn't able to get my hands on any 2018 deaths.
Next year 7 inch shells and higher prices with same performance?
It wouldn't surprise me. 😂

Breaks are ugly....no offense but there are better simetrical cannister shells on the market
Of course they are not symmetrical, this kit is horsetails and jellyfish effects, it is on purpose.
These 👀 amazing! I have always been a fan of brothers cakes not so much the shells. The last couple years they have really stepped it up with kits like this, grand jury and unmatched which have big tails and mines every shell.
I hope to get my hands on unmatched this year!
I'm kind of digging the jellyfish effect on those first few. Wish they had labeled the individual shells and not just put a list of effects on the back of the box.
I wish brothers would label their shells for effect. All the brothers kits are always luck of the draw, can't plan out anything with them.

Solid kit. They hit nice, spread big, red, gold and silver lace (clubs), with plenty of height.
They are totally worth the $45 I spent on them.

From what I hear on the pyro groups, shells are going to be really limited this year, it is mostly 500g cakes that are on the water right now.

@@tommyfireworks6300 I don't mess with powder and stars. I just mix and match tubes from retail stuff. Maybe someday I will brave enough to make some overloaded cans.
I have to say, I'm glad I passed on these. I have no doubt they're good shells, but the mixture of lace and normal effects just isn't my cup of tea. I feel like this should've been their Nishiki and lace shell kit. That would've been a much better kit of shells. For the same price, you can get a case of Holy Nishiki and have an extra 24 shells. Of course, if all you want is lace, these might be up your alley.
That is how I feel about Nishiki effect combo effects, those are not my cup of tea, it takes away from the Nishiki effect.
I don't have local pickup access to case pricing on Raccoon stuff, Holy Nishiki I have to pay $70 a box retail for. Maelstroms are $45 a box.
I will shoot the Holy Nishiki next weekend, I just picked them up this afternoon with some other Raccoon stuff I paid retail for.
Can't wait to see that video. Retail puts the hurt on our wallets. I hope you didn't have to drive too far. The nearest store that sell raccoon is a four hour drive away. I'd spend around $100 just driving there and getting back.
@@jamisonlm3 The store that sells the Raccoon stuff is 1 hour from me, so not to bad of a ride. Retail always hurts after you start buying at wholesale pricing, lol.

Didn't seem like anything special. Had been calling for jelly shells last couple of years, so that was nice. But, I'd say the best 6s are still the Tikis.
Have you seen the Tikis in person? I can't find a good demo of them.

They had the Tikis at the store yesterday. Also had the Grizzly 6" doubles and the Imperial Dragon 6" doubles. The owner said he liked the Tikis. Just so happens I left without any shell kits. :(

I don't do a lot of whole shell kit demos, but I have grand jury, smoke and mirrors, and quests in my can comparisons. Power stroke and american chief in my ball shell ones.

..meh? Not a fan personally, and very glad I picked up the Grand Jury over these. It was a hard decision between the two.
I liked about 6 or 7 of them. The jellyfish effect was decent and I'll give them that the lacing was very well timed. But definitely not the kit for me. I want vibrancy, glamour, and crackle.
That is why it is always best to wait for a quality demo so you know what you are spending money on. :)

@@kyleflounder9783 Hiroshima shells. Mushroom Cloud shells. We only tried one, but it was laughable. We'll try the rest, but that single shell was very ugly. I thought I wanted a case. Based on one shell, I didn't want a case!
What I don't understand is what is the difference between a 4-inch 5-inch and a 6in canister when the max load according to law is 60 grams of gunpowder so why bigger canisters for the same amount of gunpowder? Beautiful shells by the way LOL.
"Bigger is better" sales trick. Uninformed customers think 6" must be better than 5"!!
I bought them because half the kit is lace and 1/4 of it is jellyfish/horse tails. I would have bought it it it was a 4" kit with these effects, lol.
Yes I did notice the red lace that is what is making me think I should swap out my case of quest from my list. TBH the effects kinda remind me of neon nights by raccoon.
@@maurobarrera9511 Maelstrom is a solid kit, just don't overpay for them. They come 3/24 instead of the 4/24 on like the grand jury or quest, so some stores are charging a premium.
I paid $45 for the kit and it is worth every penny of that.
I really like the Grand Jury shells also, they don't have all the lace effects, but I like them better than the quests.

Wow just saw your quest vs grand jury shells demo. Those grand jury shells look very nice. I also checked the price tag on a 24 pack of maelstrom to check them out best deal I found was $118 over here in San Antonio TX. I'm gonna get a 24 pack to check them out. Thanx for the demos.
