Leí por ahí que en ese concierto hubo un altercado con los Tigres del Norte,ellos se negaron a abrir el concierto para Selena argumentando que el público estaba ahí por ellos y Selena se fue por qué bueno hubo una pelea en el público y su papá la saco de ahí por seguridad y en su lugar salieron los tigres a tocar pero el público se empezó a retirar y fue ahí cuando los Tigres vieron el cariño tan grande que el público le tenía a Selena

Los tigres del Norte más bien el vocalista le tiraron mala onda.. cuando Selena ganó en el 95 premio lo nuestro póstumo.. ellos dijeron que solo lo ganó por lo sucedido.. esa nota salió en primer impacto.. como ellos sentían que debían ganar.. pero Selena si los superó en ventas.. tomaban en cuenta el listado Billboard.. igual con La Mafia cuando ganaron el Grammy en el 96 salieron a decir que el TexMex era gringo que ni deberían estar nominados con ellos.. que por ser Tejanos les daban preferencia sobre los mexicanos.. y bla bla bla.. y de Selena TMB hicieron un comentario algo despectivo.. eso solo lo hizo el vocalista que ni recuerdo el nombre.. por qué los otros si se quedaron así como shhh cállate no compartian su idea.. más humildes..

That was not her father's decision - it was hers. Selena once told her father that she wanted to continue performing in the smaller towns, and not just the big cities, because the people in those places were her fans, too, and she didn't want to "turn her back on them". Her father was actually an excellent manager who could not have cared more about Selena and her career.
@@Travelsandmore333 yes she did say that, Selena held many free public or low cost admission concerts for the low income communities & underprivileged families. She did this throughout her life no matter how big of a star she became. Her Dad was a smart guy, I mean she did make it to NYC… she was set to perform at Madison Square Garden later that year after English album.
She performed at Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan on September 16th, 1994.
