Tbf you need time to get from the locker room to the ring and they thought (in kayfabe) that the Elite would talk sense to Jack that's why they didn't save him in time
You're saying that like there were no McMahon (plural) matches in WWE EDIT: Because y'all can't understand what plural means. I'm talking about Shane and Stephanie. Even Vince was not great in the ring. A good character, sure. In-ring performer, nah
@@HellShootdifference being WWE had the screw job being the catalyst for Vince having real heat which they used well to create the attitude era and continue to use his character into the mid 2000s. WCW just tried to copy that in a failed attempt with bad context. AEW is attempting the same thing
The bucks beef is even more justified than JP. Not only due to brawl in but Tony brought cm punk in behind their backs and gave him his show. And again Punk stabbed AEW brand in the back. Bucks are justifiably vengeful
I'm fairly certain this was done to write Tony off of TV for a bit. The Young Bucks attacked him to injure him and get him out so they can run amok in the company with no one to answer to. Kenny's returning next week. He's gonna be the onoy good guy left to oppose the Bucks.
Finally something to look forward to. Hopefully they don't end this angle like they did the MJF and devil angle that went anywhere and Adam Cole didn't even become a big star out of it. Hopefully we're going somewhere now.
I actually see Tony Khan not appearing on AEW in future. He will hire a group or an authority figure to take over. Also, Kenny Omega will be on Dynamite next week. How does he factor into this?
Im thinking the same. Tk could be like dr claw from inspector gadget just behind the scenes not showing his face maybe he will have scott d amour take his place as boss
I see Tony Khan more as a plot device than a character. He was the metaphorical “Wall” The new Elite needed to tear down so they could take control of the company. he may appear maybe like once every few weeks during this story but he’s not going to be the focal point and I don’t think he would want to be.
you could say the bucks felt betrayed with tony suspending them for brawl out and not firing punk in the first place or they could say "we always wanted power in aew this is our company and tony got too comfortable in that president role and he had to go."
Honestly bro feel like AEW did that segment out of desperation, i don't think this was a long time booking thing & i can see them making things up as they go. Hopefully AEW gets back on track but won't hold my breathe on it man, seems like AEWs best days are behind them
As someone who honestly has no interest in this story. Here's my thoughts. This is not groundbreaking... at all we've seen this so many times. However I will agree with you that if done right it can be interesting.
Honestly I think AEW is hitting its stride again. I love everything involving Toni Storm & Mariah Maye. I enjoy Willow & Swerve. And now this new Tony Khan vs Rhe Bucks storyline is about to start cooking imo. I have been critical as well about lack of storylines but they got me invested rn
None of this feels groundbreaking.... It's not even a Vince situation where Mr. McMahon was actually a detestable heel getting his comeuppance by Stone Cold. TK (despite his on screen awkwardness), is presented as a man of the people, giving the fans what they wanted out of wrestling. Sure, he made Jack Perry a scapegoat by banishing him from AEW for 9 months in storyline but it's not like Vince turning heel by screwing Brett Hart. Tony was justified in doing so. So attacking him in retaliation when he made amends with Jack (with no one saving him in time) or even attempting to assassinate his character going forward makes zero sense. And all for what?
I have a feeling this is finally going to give AEW something they have needed. Two of them…A Heel Authority Figure(s) & An Overarching Story. An Elite/AEW Roster Civil War
Ok. So lets try to make sense of this. Tony Khan fired Punk woth cause because Punk "lunged" at him and made him fear for his life. However, Jack Perry punches him, and The Bucks do a TK Driver and won't be fired. I know the Punk part was real, and what happened last week was planned, but if Tony made the Punk situation part of the story, how do you justify not firing with cause everyone that attacked you? Wouldn't that attack also fear for your safety? Also, does this angle makes them showing the All In footage make sense or was this angle a way for them to make it make sense?
This has my interest. I want to see where this goes next. This could be pretty cool. I do hope they do explain why the Bucks turned on Tony. I'm not so sure Tony will be a recurring character on tv but we'll see.
The biggest problem with this whole premise is that Tony doesn't realize that HE'S the heel in this situation. He overreacted to a fight and suspended the victim. He's also a weasley, wimpy, billionaire. None of that makes a sympathetic character. In the broadcast footage the crowd sounds mixed, but I saw live footage from somebody's phone, and when Tony got dropped, many in the crowd CHEERED. Vince knew that in general, people have a grudge against a boss figure, so he accepted his role in the Kayfabe company. I don't think Tony's capable of doing the same.
They have beef with Tony Khan because he brought on cm punk. Aew was a show about wrestling and being the elite and Tony decided against all others to sign punk, which to me gave me idea that the young bucks and aew weren't enough. Tony changed the show from the elite show to tonys aew. As well possibly driving there best friend Cody out of the business. Thus show wasn't suppose to have a boss like Vince McMahon but yet the cm punk story made Tony be the boss which changed are perspective overall. Also I love this storyline because the elite are trying to take back what was there's. They started aew. Four friends which we Kenny Cody, nd the bucks. Now four friends are changing the wrestling world forever by brining back the old aew just as the new elite. I also think this is how they get Tony possibly out of the picture full time.
Tony is kinda milking wwe superstars that get fired like they would milk Jon moxley at the main event a lot sometimes and Tony is just waiting for a wwe guy to get fired just to milk them
Im not the biggest AEW fan, I dont watch their weekly shows but i do try to stay updated and watch the good parts. I’ve been watching wwe since 2009, so by no means am I a AEW shill. No shit Tony cant sell, he not a wrestler but Vince and Bischoff couldn’t sell for shit back in thr day either. Lets let this play out. Yall wanted more angles and now you got them. Come on guys
Why did Tony fall back like he got punched in the face or clotheslined? Like dude seriously a guy punch will have you doubled over and falling forward or rolling back holding your stomach. That made me cringe. Jack Perry just doesn’t scream main eventer there’s just nothing interesting about him. He has to use CM Punk to get over. Young Bucks have shown lately they’re super cringe.
I think young bucks have beef with tony because their new characters are about being in charge, so the power is getting to their head and they in a way want to run the show
Tony Khan was kinda good when he was doing that condescending but still good guy stuff when the AEW/Impact stuff was happening. That one promo he cut on Nick Khan was not terrible either.

I do hope this angle does help AEW, but it feels weird having Tony Khan now as a character just because he's an awkward guy. He doesn't look physically able to do stuff in the ring unless they pull a David Arquette. I don't know how much Khan will play a factor in this storyline since he doesn't have a much to show, nor he has the promo skills to really sell a match unless some of the wrestlers can train him on promo skills and taking bumps.
