It is so tremendously important to run TOWARD something rather than away. That's why I am taking my time doing research and scouting trips to find a place that feels like home. There are certainly days where I just want to book the first plane ticket out of here, consequences be damned, but I know I'll be setting myself up for success by choosing a place for the right reasons.

Hi Zoe, I will watch video again. Very good points. What has stuck out is leaving because of money, which I agree with you is only part of the reason. This may not be the same thing you were talking about, but I remember hearing of some one who went back to Jamaica to retire for good, but returned to the UK after a short period because they were home sick. You settle down and realise you are somewhere else, and you are not happy again for another reason. The cycle will go on and on. Good on you for taking a break. It would defeat the whole purpose of you being in Grenada. Finally, its the biggest thing for an individual to overcome, is the fear factor, which I'm sure happens to all of us, but once you can get over that hurdle, the worlds your oyster.
As always, we're in agreement 🙂. Yes the example you give of the lady who returned to the UK is definitely the sort of experience I'm talking about. And I'm not trying to throw shade either - the struggle is real, I've been there. But knowing your why really does help if and when aspects of your new life abroad begin to feel challenging...
I’ve watched your videos and you have some great advice and they have helped me solidify my Decision to move back to the Caribbean…started thinking about it a lot literally right before the pandemic. I’m in the planning phase of moving back to stvincent from canada after 22 yrs. I have no family in Canada and I think it’s time for me to make that move. Our family home is still there along with some land etc so I won’t totally be a fish out of water. Only wish sometimes i didn’t worry about readjusting to life back home. Either way, my mind is made up. If it weren’t for other responsibilities and the pandemic I’d be long gone. Keep up the good work.
