Here is my first video in this build series. In this video I will show whats included in the box.
This will be a step by step guide into making one of the most popular WW2 tanks in history, the awesome Tamiya's Tiger 1 RC Tank. I hope you all enjoy.

I think I made only one tank.
I put together pretty much everything I could get my hands on, not limited to tanks.
The list goes on like, Harley Davidson Electra Glide, Honda Formula one. battle ship Yamato etc.
I forgot which model of tank I put together.
The standard grey colour TIGER I will always look the best

Built the KING TIGER 15 years ago, Still runs great, Came with metal barrel. Expensive kit but you get quality. My next project is the TIGER I.

Got HL, haven't got the patience to glue these together, just like modding and painting weathering.
Modded to produce barrel recoil using a servo tester and servo, with a flash unit from a disposable camera.
Weathering just wash over with cheap acrylic black and mucky brown paints from art shop.
What a beauty. Noice!

It, at least as far as the plastic parts are concerned, looks eerily similar to the 1/35th Tiger I E I have. Also Tamiya.
Always a good buy if their logo's on it, at least as far as kits are concerned.

Sim Eric, é uma fortuna. A Tamiya tem um representante oficial aqui no Brasil, mas é bem caro mesmo (principalmente a escala 1/16). Na loja virtual eles possuem um modelo RC, e sim é bem caro mesmo! Gosto dos colecionáveis, mas prefiro os de escala 1/35.

When I first got my Tiger 1,it had the same affect on me as my Star Wars toys in the 70s,my eyes lit up and oh my god your beautiful, truly are amazing, but it is German so like all good Allies gets destroy by Challenger 1 tank,cause Sherman no match,but does run's rings round it

These are for two totally different segments of market, one is for realistic scale model and another is a radio controlled toy.
Tamiya is not really made for radio control playing. There are so many small parts can be broken off.
One is for hobbyists another is a toy for kids.

I Built a King Blackfoot when I was a Kid
I had one of these, back in 2002. The gear box was using all nylon plastic gears, was awful, get a pebble in the track and they'd lock up and instantly strip the teeth off the gears in the gear box. Other than that, I loved it, loved playing with it off road and on a building site.

Love the video series, thank you. So much so that I have purchased this kit as my first Tank. Is there a way to slow the motor speed so the tank motion is more realistic?
You can get lower ratio gearboxes

Another greate unboxing m8, and at last my favorite Tamiya tank :) This model are from 2000 and is still the best Tiger rc 1/16.
My suggestion: add reduction gear-set for more scale speed (take a look at my video). Cheers

about 20 years sgo i picked up a KT with Henschuel tuuret at a thrift store for 10 dollars nib. who never got rid of it had no clue what they were getting rid of it was brand new in the box and you know all that fun stuff got it for 10 bucks had it for a long time until someone offered me a pretty good sum of money for it which I should have never sold it but you know
