Your films keep surpassing themselves. I've followed about a dozen boat life and van life couples and you two are the most real and relatable for me. Barbados looks fantastic, the light was beautiful and the catering looked pretty good too! What did you two do for a living prior to your sailing adventure?
Oh thanks so much that’s so nice to hear 😆 before boat life I was a hairdresser, had a little home run salon doing hair and nails and Jase was a glazier, installing frameless showers etc Where are you from? Cheers ☺️
@@LeadingtheEscapade I'm from North Wales, UK, and have returned there after a career in journalism. I thought you and Jase might have worked in journalism or something similar because your films are so real as well as being bloody good fun. I watched your latest creation from my sofa where I've enjoyed a Thai red curry washed down with two bottles of Theakston's Old Peculier. Not quite the Caribbean but not bad. Good luck to you both!
Oh wow! I’m glad you got to visit for a bit and check things out! There’s plenty more to see and do, hopefully next time you’ll have more time to enjoy out here! Enjoy sailing the Caribbean and carnival!
I went there many moons ago, stayed just off of st lawrence gap, beautiful place people and tasty food, was like a brief trip down memory lane, im sure you guys are loving it, thanks for sharing, and hope you have fun 😎
So happy you made it. Can't imagine you families relief. Our daughter is your age and we freak while she travels from Boston to NYC by Amtrak train.. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Thankyou ☺️ hahah yes they were very relieved! We kept in contact the whole way across via Starlink to let them know we were all good about 2 times per day but they were very happy it was over with 😅🤣 and so were we!! Thanks for joining us ☺️
To be honest, Boston to NYC by train is probably way more dangerous than an ocean crossing, especially if she's traveling alone... Certainly it's a lot less pleasant...
@@brucerhodes8197Yeah, the cities on both ends are abysmal messes of urban blight and sin, while the train zooms past the most lovely, peaceful and idyllic villages one could ever imagine. Fabulous episode guys ‼️ 🎉 Totally love the change of karma from the issues of the crossing to landed safely 🙌🏻🙌🏻 It is good to relax and celebrate from the time at sea. Love the shell (Possibly new?) necklace. Very nice. 😊 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
Thanks Joe ☺️ it was really fun to celebrate with everyone! I can’t exactly remember if I got the necklace in Bali or Greece as I also have a shell anklet that’s similar 😄 but I love it and only wear it every now and then. Thanks for following along 😁
I bumped in to Richard, from Tiny Dancer, from our Viking explorers group, at Budget Marine in Grenada just the other day. He is getting a new motor. In Tint Dancer. We had a good visit, and he is doing well, but still working through the injury and surgery. I enjoyed the video! ⛵️😎
I am so happy you guys are in Barbados I followed you guys and you are the first sailing UA-camrs (that I follow) to be in my country would love to just meet with you guys and offer you guys a drink.
Heya. Thanks so much for following along on our journey 😄 we loved Barbados! But unfortunately our content is behind real time so we’re sadly no longer there. Thanks so much for your offer though that would’ve been fun!
Your lucky even of having one's a month with gorgeous sapphired eyed goddess, so if you have more than that with perfume, purchase a whole barrel and swim on it everyday. Your really lucky Capt. OsoYolo, Antigua Guatemala.
They sure have 😄 we actually took them over to the beach on that first night after we had some drinks at the just chillin’ bar. We took them over to an area that was fenced off which was handy and let them have a little explore off the leads, although there was a few holes in the fence we had to try and block up as they escaped a few times 😅. They always get a bit nervous when we take them and first get Somewhere, but it’s not long before they’re loving it and don’t want to leave 🤣 unfortunately it’s really difficult to find places we can let them off the lead though as there’s always places they can escape from. Thanks so much ☺️😆
Hahah I love it! We actually didn’t show his haircut as he did it on a drunken night back home before coming back to the boat 🤣🤣 so he basically just appears back on the boat with short hair lol! 😜
Heya 😄 it’s just a small 2L tank from a brand called SMACO, so you’re only supposed to go up to 10 metres and it gives you air up to 20 minutes. Certainly not for deep diving. We don’t have a dive computer which I know we need. However we knew the depth of the wreck and that we wouldn’t be reaching beyond this depth
Bars, food, shops and boat buddies - right back in your happy place although perusing the non-alcoholic section of the cocktail menu didn't feel quite right 😁Non-sailor here but you two have got me interested in the technicalities of sailing. Tell me, how the heck do you solo cross the Atlantic even with a functioning auto pilot, what do you do for sleep?
It was such a fun week! Hahaha yeah if only the alcohol cocktails were as cheap as the non alcoholic ones hey 🤣 I wish!! So basically he has to heave to every single night and just bop around in the middle of the ocean to get rest and sleep. That’s what we did when everything was breaking as we really needed some time to sort everything out and have both hands on deck. Basically you lock the wheel one way and also set the sails up in a particular way by back winding the headsail etc which basically brings the boat almost to a stand still but keeps it stable in the swell so you are only moving around 1-2 knots. But yeah I think it’s absolutely wild that he did that. He also just sailed back across 😯 he needed to get back home to Italy after some time in the Caribbean and didn’t manage to sell his boat so went all the way back across on his own, crazy!!!
@@LeadingtheEscapade Ahh ok, wondered if he would have to do what you did when it was repairs time. But still the (slim) chance of something sailing into you whilst sleeping and must make it a slow trip across. Guess you only sleep short periods at a time though. Crazy. Thanks for the reply.
Yeah very slim chance out there but you can also have AIS and radar alarms on if you have those electronics, that will alert if you if something comes within a set radius. That’s what we planned to do if we couldn’t get the autopilot working but far out it would make a slow trip across and I did not want to do that 😅
I just have tester sizes of Tom Ford Ol Wood, and Gucci for Men. Budget for going out? I don’t worry about making a budget I will never come close to spending my yearly budget of 1.6 million unless I’m buying another sailboat.
Sadly we’re not in that position 🤣 we don’t really make a specific budget of how much we can spend when we go out but we just don’t have the funds currently to go crazy buying cocktails etc. especially as it was a little pricey in Barbados. Around $14-$15 for a cocktail which is prob around $25 Australian dollars 😓
Poor sod had to hand steer the Atlantic. Do yourselves a favour and look up sheet to tiller steering just in case you ever find yourself in a similar predicament.
@@LeadingtheEscapade we have found in the medical field that tomato juice actually reverses pepper spray that people use for personal protection, as well as eating hot peppers or hot sauce. The acid in tomato's neutralizes the capsaicin that make peppers hot.

Caribbean meat pies love them each country is different like Bahamas are a little bit more spicy
