    I been trying to tell people the LONGEST about grease. When used correctly, it's the best heat protectant there is. I have 4B hair and I used just a dab or two of blue magic coconut oil and I was able to straighten my hair on 450 degrees and results came out beautiful, soft, and silky. AND it reverted back on wash day. Not only did I do that, but I RE-STRAIGHTENED during the week when it got straggly and some days curled my hair. No heat damage.

    I grew up getting my hair pressed with heavy pressing grease or oil. My pressed hair would last until my next appointment two weeks later. It also makes your hair more silky & glossy.

    Yes its definitely a big difference using the pressing oil vs not using it, I used to pressing oil and my hair is a lot straighter, takes me back to childhood when my mother use to burn the back of my ears with that hot comb LOL but she always slathered a bunch of pressing oil on first.

    @rondothard1698 3 роки тому +4

    This is how all black people used to do their hair. yes depends who was doing your hair was the deciding factor to how heavy your hair was going to be. See back in the day nobody cared about perfect hair as long as you got your hair pressed you were good and hoped who ever was pressing it didn't burn you or burn it out. You might have washed your hair with bar soap and got some hair grease or Vaseline. Remember money was tight back in them days so you did what you had to do. Oh and for curls magnetic rollers or sponge. your hair was good for two weeks. Look at your grandmother's photo albums every one looked pretty good.

      Nay Lashay Yes I was soooooo distraught :( I used the regular dax grease and I pressed my hair out and i came back with like permed ends 😂 😂 😂 I was sooooooo salty. I am still recovering.

      @quiqui906 6 років тому +1

      Nay Lashay I think I probably put to much grease and it wasn't the pressing oil one

      @@quiqui906 I'm curious, when you pressed your hair did you use a flat iron at anytime before you washed your hair? Did you flat iron during the weeks your hair was straightened?
