Thanks! This was the first time, and after this experience we will definitely do this again and again until we've done the whole continent. Cheers for the suggestions.
We did not book the campsites on any specific website. We just looked them up online each day in an area that we wanted to stay in, and called to see if they have any spots available. When they confirmed that they do, we just 'reserved' over the phone telling them approximately when we will be there. We also asked some locals for suggestions. BTW, we booked the campervan via Motorhome Republic. If you like peace and quiet, then all except the last campsite are perfect. The last one in Jervis Bay was a little bit too commercial for our liking. Have fun!
Very cool channel! I loved road tripping across your country, so if I lived there I'd do it often. :-) Next up, Sydney to Brisbane, which I hear is even more spectacular.
Compared to M31 via Albury, someone said it is a nightmare to drive on A1 via Lake Entrance, is it true? How do you feel about the petrol station, the restaurant and the highway condition on A1?
The two roads are for completely different purposes IMO. M31 is the shortest road distance, so if you don't care to make long stops along the way, check out the scenery and spend a few days traveling, then M31 is the choice for you (although I'd always fly). A1 is the scenic route and ideal for camping trips. It is in great condition and there are many towns and camping spots along the way. We stopped at a few, but you can do more or less depending on how much time you have. Highly recommended!
Thanks for the video it helps me a lot, so if I travel I will soon from Brisbane to Melbourne ❤❤❤❤

Nice video! So many beautiful places to see :)
Thanks! Agree - the world is beautiful :-)
Glad you had a great trip ......... but as an Australian when an international tourist goes "My own private beach ..... yeah!!!" I always get worried.

Which web site do you book your campsite along your trip? Any campsite caters to non self contained campers?
