Yes a real treat to see Sir Nigel there and the unusual sight of that Black 5 which is not often on these charters. With York being close it was my best choice. I would of liked going to the GCR they always have a good event
Thanks Dave. Yes you read it right she clocked 112mph 23rd May 1959 post war speed record. Same type of locomotive as Mallard which holds the world record 126mph. These were amazing records for so long ago. The company who runs these trains always turn them out in beautiful condition. All the train shines like new.
