Sometimes this can happen. What you’ll want to do is right click on the map, and select the current zone you are in. Or, switch zones. Sometimes it seems like it doesn’t want to grab your current zone when loading
how to work this out when i don t seem to have a Logs directory even tho i turned on the /log while in game ??? tried creating a file .. but Nparse still don t see my logs ....
Just got this running, might have missed it in the video, but in the root of your install, you need to edit the eqclient.ini file (not the eqclient_.ini file) and change Log=False to Log=TRUE or nparse won't work until you log in, type '/log on', and zone. Otherwise works as shown in video. One other note, I tried to configure the discord functionality, but it really messes up in game audio. Took a bit to figure out how to disconnect from the discord chat thinger in discord (which restored audio performance in game). *not a discord expurt...
Hope you enjoy the video! I apologize for my voice, I've been recovering from COVID and so I may sound a little...mouth breathery. Somethings I forgot to mention in the video that are really cool about Nparse: - You can set mob timers - You can swap maps You can do this by right-clicking on the map. Let me know if I missed anything and feel free to make some requests for videos!
I had this working at one point in the past. I can't get Nparse to read my log file, it says no files found, but when I go into the directory there is a log file there.
Just tried installing, but when I am trying to run the .exe I'm getting an "Untitled exception in script" error. Not sure if this is a problem with the most recent version, or what.
Hello. Thanks for the video. Nparse map is workinh nice but spells tab is not working, spells not showing on the window. I´m playing a Bard lvl 13 and i´m new in P99 and EQ. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks.
@@pinetv3266 Yeah, I activated it. I saw a map. I went to log in to activate my /log and I just couldn't get in. Honestly, it could be user error or the fact that I also had a live version of EQ (I uninstalled both and reinstalled P99 and it's working now, but I'm too scared to try the nparse again). Thanks for the reply though. People are very friendly on Green.
If you want some help configuring it reach me on Discord. Nparse shouldn’t be interacting with anything except that log file. I can help you get it sorted out :)
Anyone else having a issue editing the .ini file? It keeps saying i dont have permission. I tried to give myself permission on my pc but still wont let me. Any one able to have a solution possibly?
Hey Kemuel! Sorry that’s happening. In your system tray do you see the Nparse icon there? If you do, right click it and check Maps and Spells. Let me know if this helps!
Two things to try: make sure you have logs enabled and also make sure that in options, filters, make sure PC spells are set to show. Found on a topic in the p99 forums for spells not showing. Let me know if this helps!
@@pinetv3266 Hello! I really appreciate the guide. I'm having some trouble. I type /log in game and I get "Logging to 'eqlog.txt' is now ON" - - Still no logs folder inside Sony>Everquest. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks, again!
@@Shyng101 Look for the file that has your eqlog_characterName_project1999.txt in it. It is a text file, so you can search the folder for all text files and find it that way. It might be in the root folder or in the logs folder.
Not sure if you saw my last message. Right click the map, and select your zone. Sometimes it won’t catch where you are at. Zoning into a new zone can fix it. Also, for you to show up on the map you need to type in (or set a macro) for /loc
I would not risk it. The EULA states: "Any program that provides and unintended advantage or gleams access to information not otherwise available is strictly prohibited."
I have spoken with the devs. It is approved. There is a topic on the wiki about this being okay as well. Don’t have easy access to it right now, otherwise I would link it.
@@Techniquezander They will not ban you for this, just like looking at maps is not going to get you banned. All this does is add a map on screen and updates your position using your /LOC, which you could do in the online maps if you wanted to. Anything that edits the way the game is played will get you banned, but not stuff that is UI related.
Thanks but to people who r3ally need your help...I watched ur video and still didn't understand..I felt likenya were talking to someone already family with this shit. Thanks for all your informative videos!
Thank you for the kind words! Glad they are of help :)
Thanks for the helpful vid. Will try this out.
Works great. Make a "Loc" macro button to update position on map though.
Yeah! I seem to have forgotten to include that crucial detail. I’ll need to edit that in at some point.
Thank you for letting others know :)

I’m not sure. Will need to check.
Try running it in admin mode (if you haven't fixed it already)

Spells thing doesnt work with bard songs?
Nice
I saw you are in Venerate, Green or Blue? I recently joined on Green - Extravagance - 54 SK
I have been on a hiatus due to life, but I have been Venerate both green and ue
Does nparse actually show you on the map and if so how?
It does show you on the map. It does it by reading your location number from your EQ log
What UI is that?
I installed this and followed all the instructions, but I am not seeing any timers. I am using DuxaUI does that block timers?
I also can't run this without running it as admin, not sure if this messes with it as well

Type: /log
Do that in game. I believe there is an option in settings as well

I selected the whole EQ folder and it worked, that client didnt have a log folder it just dumped the log filed into the main for me

They are certainly not. Love your name!
Sure it's not, but not everything that was added made everquest worse. Some things made it better and maps and spell timers certainly did that.
Sure it is, just imagine that its a stack of printed maps that is sitting next to you! All 200+ of them....
