Started playing this game about a week ago. Second day in, I read Yasuo's card and thought "omg! I have to make a deck around him!" Glad to see I wasn't wrong about how strong this strat is! :D
Yeah I've been running a Yasuo deck lately and it's such a useless deck if you can't draw Yasuo within the first 20 cards. You only have about a 2.5% chance to draw Yasuo per card. More often then not I draw 3 Yones and 3 Minotaur consecutively. Yasuo desperately needs a tutor card or the deck itself just needs a way to cycle through the cards a little bit faster to dig for Yasuo.
I recommend running something like zed in the deck so that even if you don’t have yasuo, you still have reliable board presence and clear. It also gives you another win con! This is what I do, also, his deck list doesn’t have shadow assassin- I run 3. I found that it just makes the deck run so much better, and applies pressure on your opponent to get rid of your Elusives or lose the game in X turns.

Very close and entertaining games! 41:11 Soul Reforged Yasuo heals when he deals 2, perhaps an alternate line could've been a Concussive Palm on his 3/2? It sacrifices 1 life for a 2-for-1 in bodies, and you still have a Steel tempest for next turn. Nutty opener by him, I really wanted you to win that. :C

29:18 Help arrived :D in this card games when skill is almost equal and it is all up to who gets what at the right time ... help is need it or many hours can fly by and you don't even move much.
Mogwai I am loving your daily runeterra content! Also, I think incorporating retreat into the deck would be optimal since it synergizes a lot with the cards and you get more value of the current units you have
I tried playing yasuo today after getting him from the chest reward. Even when I only have one Yasuo in the deck, I still won 2 out of my 3 matches or maybe I'm just lucky. I can say that this deck is hard to play but had a lot of outplay potential and maneuvers which is pretty sick.
why was your opponent dead by playing commander Ledros at 51:10 and you double concussive palm? I get it that you summon 2 followers, but your opponent can block your minotaur + 1 tail of the dragon meaning you deal 3 damage to him if you decide to attack right away without playing a card beforehand. If you play katarina, then your opponent can also play a follower and survive. So I don't get it. Also, by killing his Ledros (he blocks your minotaur with it.. then he can summon it again next turn.)
he stun ledros and vi then drop kata to attack because of her rally effect. the enemy surrendered because he doesnt have mana or he doesn't have units to play
I'm pretty sure Yasuo is a tier 1 deck right now I'm running 3 intimidating roar for the aggro and demacia midrange matchups, it's a fucking amazing win game button. I'm also running 3 deny because it's incredible against any control deck and surprisingly good against burn aggro, you can deny decimate, get excited and stuff, it just ruins their chances of winning... *Deny is not suuuper useful against demacia midrange, but that's a favored matchup for you anyways and denying a super valuable single combat doesn't feel too terrible when you're on a pinch. Ex: 4/4 stupidbear with shield uses single combat on your yasuo, that's a 4 mana waste the stupid bear shield's potential and an enemy card and play a yasuo.
Agreed, the mechanic intricacies required for success with this deck is just so engaging. I think its S tier easily in the right hands. Noxian/Pilt/Draven aggro is best for like 90% of shitters that want to climb though. Whenever I lose with stun yas I always feel like theres SOMETHING I couldve done better.
The single best card in yasuo is intimidating roar even if it doesnt straight up wipe the board it opens the way for minotaur and legion generals to attack which is really spooky
For people still wondering about the burn deck matchup- it’s just horrible. I use this deck for almost all my ranked games from bronze to now plat 4 and the only real weakness of my varient of this deck this burn. This deck can handle almost any other deck fairly well if played well, but burn decks just win the game too quickly. My varient uses Swain, Yasuo, and Zed, though after seeing this varient I think I’ll make some adjustments!
That guy that you played against was a pro League of Legends player btw, the one that was playing the demacia bilgewater scout deck, his name is Dumbledoge, pretty cool.
I started playing this game recently, but I put all of my early dust into the Nautilus deck you showcased earlier. However I'm finding it hard to get enough dust to get my 3rd Nautilus or the 2 Maokai you have in your list so I've put in a Thresh and two Beast Below's as placeholders. However I have found that I'm struggling with Ionia/P&Z matchups because of elusive spam and deny/will of ionia. Do you have any card additions you can suggest in your opinion that would help with that matchup? (I really love using Nautilus with his Sea Beasts as it feels a lot like playing Golgari from MtG which is what really got me into it. However just like how I despise playing against Blue in MtG, Ionia feels like an almost carbon copy of annoyance. I hope to learn a lot more about how to play Toss decks properly but would appreciate some early tips as I'm still unused to the cards in this game.)
Hey Verumnos! Obviously I'm not Mogwai, nor am I as good as he is. I'm also new to the game, and like you I have mostly been playing a Nautilus deck. I'm biased towards greedy and defensive decks so Nautilus fits my playstyle. To help me survive until the late game, I put in lifesteal cards like Absorb Soul, Grasp of the Undying and Soulgorger. Unfortunately, ultimately the Nautilus deck - again, in my very limited experience - is an expensive one to build. You really need to run 3x of both Nautilus and Maokai because you cannot win without them. I'd argue that Maokai is even more important than Nautilus because not only does he give you a win condition by milling your opponent's deck, he also works as a mid-game stall with his Saplings. Here's my deck, in case you want to check it out: CEBQGAQFA4EAUBABAUUC2NRXAUBAMJZMF42TQAIBAIDCSAQBAECS6AICAUBQ
@@iatwiatw Yeah, I recently got really lucky with the weekly chests and get 2x Maokai and the remaining Nautilus I needed, however I shall follow your advice and try out Soulgorger and Absorb Soul, I'll also check out your deck list to compare with what I'm currently running :]
22:28 I like that 1 Spell = 2 Mana 13|3, I champion Level Up, and a 1 mana spell removal.... Except that only on LoR a stunned unit can attack (single combat)

Just subscribed to your channel, absolutely love your stuff! Im a new player, just started playing when it was released on mobile. I'm learning a lot from you, keep up the quality content man!
that bm at 28:45 he may lost but he sure got you mogwai, well play dudes
I was so happy for you man at the end of the video
I got 3 words for you “NEW BUFF BRAUM!” Love your content and the daily uploads! Sooo upbeat and always so engaging! Luv ya man :P
The Ionian board has such a good song, it made these stun plays way more intense
This deck puts you through too much stress with all it's intricacies. But fun to see you play, Mog. Great video.
Where is my Yasuo/Swain deck! D:
he tried on stream. because they don't really work together. and the ionia package doesn't help swain that much.
CEBQCAICB4BAEAYIBECQCAYNFMXDCNQDAIBAGAQHAIAQEGRYAQAQGCREFAZAA
Here is the yasuo/swain deck I been using
I tried it on day 1, they don’t really synergize and the curve is too slow.
swain works well with piltover cards...I think
@@gandhichoron1365 It also works well with Crimson, I got a 60% winrate on ladder with my own Swain/Crimson deck:
lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/bql9se1la4s8qc71mcfg
Instalike for Yasuo. I love him and I love you too brother. Keep it up
why was your opponent dead by playing commander Ledros at 51:10 and you double concussive palm? I get it that you summon 2 followers, but your opponent can block your minotaur + 1 tail of the dragon meaning you deal 3 damage to him if you decide to attack right away without playing a card beforehand. If you play katarina, then your opponent can also play a follower and survive. So I don't get it. Also, by killing his Ledros (he blocks your minotaur with it.. then he can summon it again next turn.)
he stun ledros and vi then drop kata to attack because of her rally effect. the enemy surrendered because he doesnt have mana or he doesn't have units to play
Hi I have one question. 0:00 Your intro use some kind of Bilgewater Theme cover? It would be nice to hear all song.
An awesome upgrade to your Yasuo deck 😄
So beginner friendly aswell. I also like ur non meta decks and they’re so damn fun.
Yasuo mains from league, I'll finally play without getting flamed for inting 0/20 stealing autofilled mid
There's like 7 things in that sentence that are reasons I don't play League.
l know that you are an idiot because you think it's fine to steal mid from someone.
@@gremlinchemist3621 I don't, I don't think u understood
@@8thlvlMage ikr, I stopped playing too bc of that yikes
I'm pretty sure Yasuo is a tier 1 deck right now
I'm running 3 intimidating roar for the aggro and demacia midrange matchups, it's a fucking amazing win game button.
I know I already have seen it already, but that intro still bamboozles me.
Thankyou so much for the yasuo deck guide mogwai! also maybe do you have some shen/yasuo combo? :)
Love your vids! And i love LoR. Keep making more please :')
Nice work and video man, as usual \o
The single best card in yasuo is intimidating roar even if it doesnt straight up wipe the board it opens the way for minotaur and legion generals to attack which is really spooky
my favorite channel
thanks for the deck, Yasuo feels alot more fun now. Though I still run shadow assassin cause I can't fathom not having at least 1 or 2 draws
LOVE to see you going back to Yasuo. I know he is your true love ♥.
Here's my deck, in case you want to check it out:
CEBQGAQFA4EAUBABAUUC2NRXAUBAMJZMF42TQAIBAIDCSAQBAECS6AICAUBQ
@@iatwiatw Yeah, I recently got really lucky with the weekly chests and get 2x Maokai and the remaining Nautilus I needed, however I shall follow your advice and try out Soulgorger and Absorb Soul, I'll also check out your deck list to compare with what I'm currently running :]
Yesss brother you showed em haters about our boi yass 🙌 thnk you for taking the time on doing this vid keep it up 👌👌👌
22:28 I like that 1 Spell = 2 Mana 13|3, I champion Level Up, and a 1 mana spell removal.... Except that only on LoR a stunned unit can attack (single combat)
36:36 the undistorted zed laugh 😆
Thank you for that! I immediate belly laughed!
Hi, Mogwai
Have you thought maybe about the combo Quinn + Katarina. It must be really strong with all these 3 attacks for every turn
I just gotta say, that intro is so cool!
Love the videos. You're undying deck is helping me a lot to build up my champion pool. Can we get an updated Vlad build/guide gameplay? !
oh man, it felt good to play yasuo at that time, when he will come in to play again? a man can dream...
only when he gets a boat like shen.
@@MarianaBello-fq3hx i have good news

Great video mate. What Deck would you recommend to beginners?
In the last game do you think you can win if the enemy run garen fiora unyielding spirit like everyone else in the game which is just tilting I don't have counter because I'm running your deck a deck to die for and can you suggest which to change I have been losing not stop to those and stoping my climb what is your thoughts in unyielding spirit
Mogwai, can you try to make a Sejuani and Teemo deck? The teemo shrooms trigger leveled Sejuani effect where they frostbite all enemies! I've been trying to get it to work but I've had little success. I'd love to see your take on the deck. Thanks for the videos keeping me sane during quarantine.
