I think Asagi's sanity has deteriorated to the point that she's not main character worthy. Maybe a cameo like Etna was in Disgaea 2, constantly trying to take the hero's spotlight.

By the way, anyone wondering about HD Asagi: she is DLC content, but once you get her, 16-bit Asagi has to spend 1,000 Mana in the Cam-Pain to switch to her HD form and back. She's the same character and can get the Evilities of either form, but can only be in one form or the other at a time.
best intro i have seen so far, i love the idea of Laharl, Etna and Flone to be the main characters again, also that this is actualy what is next after the first game(yes sure it takes 10years later but who cares !?) but still i don't see asagi in the intro and that made me sad, poor poor fictional girl. can't they atleast made her into a secondary character with a big roll?....:(
then we should just do what we did for Laharl in Disgaea 2 when Laharl got to be main character for 60 seconds...even though he went over his budget with his anime segment lol

I am having some real problem with Asagi. For some reason I have a lv 1000 Tyrant valvatorezz and when he hits her he does major damage but he VERY RARELY does hit her. I can easily kill everyone else on the map someone please help
I am so for Laharl and Etna and Flonne to have more major role in the future, but hopefully not like in Disgaea 2 where they were mainly unbeatable bosses on the first go (that felt like rather pointless addition though Etna and Laharl moments in D2 were the funniest).
i vote for next game for asagi to finaly be the damn main character and laharl , etna and flonne to have a big role in it, also all the others disgaea characters should apear with a big role to and asagi should get 4 sidekicks characters to be part of the story .. so this freaking joke can be over already ...seriusly im felling really sorry for her and think she doesn't diserve this ...
My guess for disgaea 5 is that it is going to be about laharal's and flonne's son/daughter trying to get back his/her memories because they lost them before the game starts. Which in turn leads to a bigger threat about a new heartless overlord featuring suspense, drama, a mid boss type character for comedic relief as well as the the past protagonist and asagi trying to stop it.
Man I wish they had a kid! Heck the first game hinted to some kind of fling between those two but they never touched on it ever again. I guess cause they are kids and all that biz
Truth be told, NIS America was making a game "Makai Wars", making Asagi the main character, but bad stuff happened and the game was cancelled, making Asagi the condition she is in right now.

I'm frankly getting a bit tired of gag of Asagi desperately wanting a game to various points that it further degrades her in my opinion. She's still a fun character to use, but my goodness lord have mercy on this fictional character with this ambition to have a game of her own. I know Nippon Ichi if they wanted to could give Asagi a game of her own, provided if anybody in there decides to act on it or not. who knows, but usually a lot of feedback whenever game devs ask the fans works.
