Minnesota has continued their impressive season into the National Championship. After the Big 10 Championship win over Michigan State, the Gophers have one game between them, and their second National Championship in three seasons.

My favourite thing about Cane and his channel is that its all so realistic. He doesn't go undefeated every year with a Heisman winning QB every time. It's like supporting a real team. Cane, you make my favourite UA-cam videos. Thank you sir!

I didn't go that far, but I was screaming at my PC screen several times. For whatever reason I just felt this enormous stress and anxiety the whole game.
DolFan316 yeah I kinda had the feeling this wasn't going to end up being a win for the Gophers. Would've loved for McKenzie to go out with a win. Only if McClelland had knocked away that pass! This would've been a win.
The funny thing is, they also trailed 10-6 at the half against Michigan St. yet I was nowhere near as anxious watching that game. This one just felt...off from the beginning, even though at no time did Cane ever trail by more than 7 and led for the vast majority of the second half.

The story of Andy McKenzie is a poetic tragedy. Because the only ever National Championship ring he'll have (The one he'll have to look at every day) is one someone won in his place. Also Cane thanks for that pregame hype (was awesome)

lethalXknife With the Rams franchise though you could see that ending coming for about 6-7 games. This one was a whole lot more painful because it looked like Cane would win right up until that last failed 3rd down pass.
Silly Andy McKenzie, only Andrew Johnson can win national championships
Andrew Johnson didn't have f*ckboy receivers.
I think this loss hurts McKenzie the most. His backup won more National Championships than him.
DJCHAZY1 I hate to make this about 1 player, but this senior class did win a Championship already. I really wanted McKenzie to win a championship as the starter. Man that Terrance Johnson injury hurt us.
MrHurriicane The sad part is, I knew it would as soon as I saw it happen. The offense was like night and day with him gone, but up until that last Georgia drive your best ever D was enough to compensate.
Yup. McKenzie's now the Peyton Manning of this dynasty.

Pros: Terrific upside, has the ability to make all the throws when you want him to, 4 year starter, terrific arm strength, great running ability, very good accuracy in terms of short and deep throws, career record of 35-7, can extend the plays out of the pocket which is what he does best, clutch, can come up big in the clutch, terrific leadership, can break tackles of defenders when running in the open field, patient when finding a receiver as he won’t always take off and with the ball in and out of the pocket, has great touch on his throws, has the potential to fit in any type of offensive scheme
Cons: Medium throws (10-20 yards) need a lot of work, worked mostly in a pistol-shotgun offense, forces lots of throws, tends to hold onto the ball too long, his throws can be erratic at times, has been somewhat turnover prone, needs to work on his footwork under center, suffered a serious tailbone injury his redshirt sophomore year,

***** It was one of those games where if only 99 things go wrong instead of 100, Cane wins.
I literally cannot remember the last time in this dynasty he had a 4th quarter lead of more than 3 and lost.
People won't say its greatest because Cane lost. I wouldn't put it at the top but it's definitely up there in Canes Top Ten all time franchise games.
Nope. Even from an objective standpoint it doesn't make the cut. Too much CPU cheese and too many mistakes by both teams. Georgia's offense did NOTHING the entire second half until that last drive when suddenly they became unstoppable. This was the kind of game that if you saw it in real life you'd say it sucked and neither team deserved to win.
Another thing I feel is if you had Terrence Johnson this is a win. Martin Parker has been pretty damn good but I know Terrence wouldn't have dropped that touchdown.
The game prevented Johnson from playing by one game... -_-

***** That's exactly what I thought after the game was over. Hooper was a 1 game wonder. James/Wilkerson were inconsistent. I think I can now say in confidence that Johnson was all around our best receiver.

Cons: Not a burner, won't wow you with his speed. For a guy who's 6'0" 221lbs he isn't much of a power back. Possible one hit wonder. Runs upright.

I loved the intro! Plus that game was wild from start to finish.
Omg....This hurts so much. Defense was fantastic, but the offense couldn't seal the deal. I...incredibly painful loss. Screw the cover 4 late in the game. The cornerback AI doesn't know how to defend the deep pass if he's already ahead of the receiver. I blame the loss mostly on poor AI. Damn this sucks so much!
If what you said to me before is still the case. This loss will sting for a while.
***** I thought our secondary played their best game until the end. Our man coverage was incredibly good. Their game winning touchdown was against man coverage, but Preston bumped into a linebacker and got thrown off his coverage.
There were like four instances of crappy AI in the game. The Wilkerson fumble, the Parker drop, the Smith throw-behind and the McCleland coverage play, and they all were factors into you losing the game. But there's no way to fix it in sliders, unfortunately.
***** To be fair, yes, there were two very poor interceptions that Georgia threw.
Mightywarrior25 Don't forget the Georgia QB suddenly playing like the greatest one of all time on the last drive after being horrible the entire time previously. Or Cane's first INT where it was a clear pick six but the DB just "happened" to fall down.

Cane, I loved this game and this whole series, so what if you don't win a national championship, i felt the same sting, i play football irl and i was one game away for playing for a state championship in NJ and we fell 21-0 to a team we were suppose to steam roll, im only a junior and we'll make another run next year, and thats how you have to look at this situation, take the younger talent from this previous season and just unleash them next season and you will make it back to the National Championship!
So happy this series is continuing on. Can't wait to see who gets drafted where, hopefully Andy at least goes high. Looking forward to next season with maybe Tim Gallagher at the helm.

I got spoiled with a minute and a half left. I assumed that was it LOL. I originally commented that it really did look like Georgia early on in the game with the whole trying to throw and run sweeps when the power running game was working. Can't believe the result at the end though

I believe the final game of the Rams was still more devastating when Tavon Austin caught the hail mary at the one and was brought down as time expired

Wish they would have kept making these games, they were getting to a point where they could have been better than Madden.
Diving seems to have like a 40% chance of causing a fumble even when you're untouched. It's ridiculous and really sad that in a sense it cost you a National Championship.
And the worst part was, diving was absolutely the proper thing to do in that situation, he wasn't scoring a TD otherwise.
Sick to my stomach at that ending. I truly thought that it was going to go end with Andy finishing his senior season with the national title. Oh well look forward to seeing the next step for the series.

Your disappointment following that loss was palpable! A lot of ppl on UA-cam would have replayed the gm until a win was secured and then upload that version of the "undefeated" Golden Gophers! You really should have used one or 2 of your timeouts on that last Georgia possession to get your guys together.
A zone blitz may have also worked considering that QB is rattled easily.
But really though Parker dropping the ball, Wilkerson fumbling, Mckenzie throwing a bad pass at the end of the game, DM being beat like he has been all year long. the universe wanted you to lose

Exactly. I mean seriously; 1-yard line fumble, dropped td pass, missed fg AND failure to get those 4 yards for the first down to run out the game clock. I feel especially bad for the defense. They held it down all year and pretty much always kept the team in games when Cane and the offense struggled.

Its a shame andy McKenzie had one of if not the best game of his carrer and made some great throws that were dropped like the parker drop
After TJ was injured those drops were a common occurrence the rest of the season, and spread through the remaining receiving corps like a virus.
