Before the whole phone issue, it was still evident that they are really close to each other, but dont show it excessively on camera. They have a very soft friendship that is filled with so much comfort. I don't think they are awkward at all, but I'm not sure exactly how to describe it lol. I think for them, their friendship is embodied in the little things they say or do to each other.

@@shookyinsin715 I'll try to sum it up the best way I can lol but yeosang once called mingi on a vlive but I guess the operator answered and it turns out that mingi didnt have yeosangs number saved(turns out it was cus yeosang got a new number but mingi forgot to save it since they always use the group chat instead and always see each other anyways). They talked about this in a later vlive to clear any misunderstandings but ever since then, they've been labeled as the "awkward pair" but as u can see in this vid their not lol hope this made sense. Feel free to ask any questions

@@shookyinsin715 It was simply a joke amongst the members but "fans" stretched it out as "the truth," I've been a fan since 2019, and I can assure you that all members are close to one another. There might be some close to a member than others, but that happens in alot of friendship groups. If you watch their vlives and varietys (especially the ones from predebut) you can tell that some fans simply hallucinate and place their own agenda and assumptions about the members. Also, welcome to the fandom!!!
@@amya6939 I don’t think some are ‘closer than others’ but that some of the members have special connections . But all love each other equally . But as you said, who knows. And it’s not up to us fans to be digging into their personal lives and assuming things. Let’s just be happy with that ateez tells us, and not make things into dramas etc.

They actually look so comfortable around each other, they might not be those type of friends who compliment each other a lot or hug/touch each other a lot, they seem like actual friends, like they've known each other for a really long time and are just used to being together
They are actually a lot closer than they seem… they just have small but sweet moments where you can see how much they care about each other. It's honestly such a cute friendship! 🥺🥺

Yeosang once said Mingi was like a tsundere, and as most people know Yeosang is more kept to self (I think that's the way to say it) so they just have that kind of relationship so it can look awkward to some but in reality that's just the way they show affection.

I think Mingi is the favorite because he's genuine. It can come off as awkward with both of them but I prefer that because it shows it's real. I like Wooyoung a lot but I have friends that are very extroverted like him and what I notice is that you never know when they mean what they say. It's like but you say or do that with everyone. You're so accessible how can I believe I'm different to you? Versus Yeosang who is a lot more guarded. And Mingi who doesn't hesitate to speak from the heart. When people like that not only like you, but seek you out it means a lot more.

they have the same dynamic as my sister and me. I´m a very affectionate person and always hug and kiss people. My sister on the other hand HATES physical contact in any way.
