Auto hold is the drive thru button for McDonald's. Instead of the fatigue of holding your foot on the break or putting the car in park when you're ready to move up in line, you can just drive straight out of a complete standstill without activating any other functions in stop-and-go situations.
@@NorthsideLexus i was tried to use Hold is is working perfectly but when i restarted engine again i need to set it again. This hold settings not remain save.
You all prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
@Arturo Steven thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Auto parking brake always stays on so next time I get my car it is still on and I like that. But how do I get Auto brake hold to do the same? Every time I get back in the car I have to push the button they should work the same I can't figure out how. Any help would be appreciated this is in a 2016 GS350. I don't want to have to hit the hold button every time I start the car. My Mercedes has this feature and you don't have to hit any buttons it's always on. Just saying. Very convenient in the Mercedes.
Hi Davo. Thanks for watching. Great question. The Parking break has an Auto feature that is on until it is disengaged, but the Brake Hold auto is only for that drive cycle. You do have to press the button at the start of the next key cycle. Cool that your Mercedes has the ability to keep it on. Sorry the Lexus doesn't do that also. :(
@@NorthsideLexus question I have a 2017 does it matter if mine doesn’t light up in orange on the dash when I stop? It’s just the green sign lit the whole time?
Interesting. Is it holding the brake for you when you come to a full stop? There is usually some kind of change visually to let you know that it is ready to hold. I’m out of the office until next week. But I’m happy to look into it more for you after the holiday.
It is probably just an earlier version of the Brake Hold feature. If you have the owner’s manual, check that section and see if it mentions different color visual clues. That will help solve the mystery also. 👍
Hi! If you come to a complete stop and HOLD in gold lights up, but the foot brake is not holding the vehicle for you for the allowed amount of time, I would take the vehicle to service so they can diagnose and repair that for you. Thanks so much for checking in!
The 2008 Lexus RX400h has an mechanical Parking Brake. It is a peddle that you will push to apply and push again to release. There is not a button. The button setup is only on vehicles that have an electronic parking brake. I hope this helps.
You can definitely do that. Check the tutorial section at about 4:15 seconds. I show how to turn it off, on, set auto and disable auto :) Got you covered!
Hi @Hardeyshina! Thanks for tuning in! The RX has an electronic Parking/Emergency brake. When they made that change they eliminated the need for the hand brake version and were able to add an Auto function and a Brake Hold feature for the foot brake. Pretty cool!
Thanks very much. Please note that you are looking at a video from 5 years ago. Styles change and hopefully I have improved over the years. Thanks again for being here.
Thanks for the feedback, Hans. This is a very old video that was from a requested Facebook Live Stream. We haven't used this format since 2018. Hopefully you will like the newer video formats more. Thanks for tuning in.
Hold helps in the drive through and in traffic. Love it.
Awesome! So glad you love that feature! Thanks for watching!

I think this is showstopper for me in new NX... too bad. I am too used for Auto Hold to keep last settings. @lexus do something about it :)

Constructive criticism, get to the point quickly. Taking too long to instruct how to turn on and off the auto parking brake. :)
