    To fix your 2 bigger ramps that are cracking go to Home Depot or Lowes & get a
    1/8 inch piece of Luan (sp) or formica and just glue it or staple over top of existing
    plywood and they should last forever! Nice simple Design - Thank Man!

      Great idea, I'll definitely have to look into that. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Dbl sided is super easy . 2 old Door hinges and some metal strapping with the holes for adjustments . Folds up easy for transport but no ski ramp effect . Defintely need the ski ramp to get more air

    Also, when using plywood for the face, if you soak it with water, it will help with shaping the face of the ramp as you attach it to your base. As with any weak wood, it will crack over time when put under pressure. I built a big bike ramp with an 8' long piece of 1/4" plywood and soaked it. Never cracked even with over 250 lbs of weight traveling up/off of it. Great video though, simple solutions are best that don't cost hundreds of dollars.

    All I know is , for me , 3 ft wide is a must for high speeds and a 1/8 size RC 👍. So much nicer than 2 ft wide

    Im building a ramp 4 feet long by 2 feet high by 4 feet wide do u suggest a 30 degree slope or a 45 degree slope not trying to send it to the moon but want a mixture of height and distance in the middle somewhere

  • @Nlangkirby135
    @Nlangkirby135 6 років тому

    I think that the thin wood is either plywood or luan wood.

    notice where the break is on ramp means angle is too steep car is unloading its suspension way too early

  • @dominicpicarazzi3465
    @dominicpicarazzi3465 6 років тому

    how did you get the wood to bend? Im looking at making a ramp like the high jump ramp.

    • @LVC_RC
      @LVC_RC  6 років тому

      The wood is very thin, so it is fairly easy to bend. For the high jump ramp, the thin sheet of wood that makes up the face of the ramp is curved as much as possible. If you find a super thin sheet of wood and bend it as far as it'll go without cracking, that will pretty much replicate the ramp angle I have in this video.

    • @dominicpicarazzi3465
      @dominicpicarazzi3465 6 років тому

      gonna have to layer it cause I'm going to use it with my X-Maxx and my other rcs

    • @LVC_RC
      @LVC_RC  6 років тому

      R/C Insanity You might want to make the ramp wider too and also add a support underneath going right down the middle so it doesn’t crack in half.

    • @dominicpicarazzi3465
      @dominicpicarazzi3465 6 років тому

      good point. time to look into wood at lowes.

    Can a stock brushed 2s (like a granite mega 4x4) do a backflip well off a ramp? Or is it only possible with brushless, 3s power?

    • @LVC_RC
      @LVC_RC  3 роки тому

      It might be able to do a backflip off of some ramps. 4x4 trucks are much easier to backflip than 2wd, but brushed on 2s will make it pretty challenging.

  • @ELValenin

    What slash do you think is best and what traxxas battery’s for it would you recommend

    • @LVC_RC
      @LVC_RC  6 років тому

      SuggleMuffins I’ve always enjoyed the Slash 4x4. I used to own the 4x4 Ultimate and loved driving that thing. As far as batteries go, it all depends on what you want to do with it. I preferred to run 3s in mine. I ran the Traxxas Power Cell 3s 5000mah batteries I believe. 👍

  • @Nlangkirby135

    Have you tried to make a ramp with folding legs for ease of storage and transport?

    • @LVC_RC
      @LVC_RC  6 років тому +1

      Nick Lang No, but that’s a great idea! I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult either. It would make a lot of sense, because these are pretty bulky to carry around and store in the garage.

    I was wondering if you had any issues with glitching when you changed servos in your e revo, i change my e maxx servos out yesterday to 2 power hd 20kg, it has mamba 2, it was browning out , I had a little capacitor and it made it much better. I'm wondering if It's the recievers or if I should try bec

    • @LVC_RC

      corey kurtz If the power cap helped, then I’d try a BEC if I were you.👍 I haven’t had any issues with mine glitching at all yet.
