You have to admit they are the coolest looking speakers on the market.
They are cool looking 😎
I do not agree, they look like a punching ball, I prefer the B&M Line 60 for example.
It’s a matter of taste. To me they just look like bird cages.
@@glichasasha750 😂
Haha bird cages 😂 haven’t heard that one yet!
Hey Jay, these are my favourite speakers of the exhibition so far. I'll be back tomorrow for the final day. But the highlight of my day was meeting you and of course our photograph together, thanks for that.
Back to the MBLs, the biggest acoustic characteristic that jumped out at me was that complete lack of boxiness that you get from traditional speakers, the transparency was phenomenal and the image depth was exceptional too in this setup, albeit at a very high price point, but fantastic for a mere mortal to experience.
Have a safe trip home and looking forward to your summary of the Munich High End.
Cheers
Thank you !
Most people wouldn’t recognise those as loud speakers at first sight. Just extraordinary.
For me one of the best audio system and brand name...Just a dream system for many audiophiles
I do believe MBL has it. Their room and sound is unbeatable !
Not pushing my buttons. There is still the tipped up spectral balance that I always here with this set up. Imo, it's the amps that contribute to this more than anything else. They are not the most organically smooth amps. Imo, they have been surpassed by the likes of Boulder, Block, Plinium, etc.
talk about a work of art wow
The build is amazing 😮
Sounds good & looks cool, but idk if I can wrap my head around those lantern speakers lol!
play some lively dark music with them!! Siouxsie And The Banshees , Deep purple, sergio mendes... some non-audiophile music pleasee.......
As Jay is walking around the room, the sound remains the same. I guess that’s part of the magic these speaker do?
Very impressive clarity and slam
magnifico.⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
The principle is that of a nelon rind cut into segments and held togerher at both ends. One end is fixed and the other moves up and down. The propagation is uniform 360 degrees horizontally, somewhat less vertically. Like all multidirectoonal loudspeakers it depends on room reflecrions and placement to create its special effect. In the front half of the room you can have reflectors and diffusers but not absorbers. Irregular surfaces created by furniture improves diffusion. Planar waves from the side walls are less desirable than waves that are broken up by irregular surfaces.
Yeah, state the obvious that every audiophile has known for decades.
@@carlosoliveira-rc2xtI've got a minute. What else do you know?
Thx, line array only way to rock
20.7s & 2/Rel carbon specials
They sound rather bright, as MBLs have in every demo I've ever heard.
bright? they sound very transparent but very, VERY far from bright, in fact they are very musical and immersive, the source you are listening to should probably have peaks and greater activity in the treble
@@degou3438 No, they are painfully bright, especially in person.
@@VideoArchiveGuy wow, I read practically all the reviews of these speakers on the internet and you are literally the ONLY one who said that, everyone else said the opposite, that it is never tiring and it is always musical, but there is one detail, this system is extremely complex and requires a level of adjustment with MBL professionals that can take 1 week, they probably didn't know about it and just installed the system, in addition they probably also left the treble on “fast” in the configuration behind one of the main towers, which has 3 treble levels is the most present.
@@degou3438 It's likely setup is a factor, I can only go off of what I've heard at shows and in the video above.
Manufacturers seem to just come up with a number these days
So given they are omnis - obviously recognized the consistency in sound as you walked around the room. Saying that - why do we always seem to see these toed in?
Best sound i have ever heard ❤
They look like some space crafts from the first Dune movie
Garden Room...
Quoting Mikey " really brite" 😮
MBL...let's see..on first hand...tell us...
I always think MBL looks kitschy
Impressive for sure. I'd still like to experience Analysis Audio panels.
You must like "musical" sounding speakers. 😉
A bit bright...?
what did you think of the sound Jay
How is the sound?
Insanity. Just hire a string quartet, jazz combo, or singer songwriter to come to your house weekly. Put the remaining $200k in prudent investment.
Famous jazz musicians are quite expensive, and you will have money for few gigs only….. next time check how much Jazz musicians ask for their gigs….
@@silviosarunic3234 and many excellent (but not famous) musicians are looking for work at any reasonable price. But I think you understand my larger point …
What cabling are they using?
